The first time I went here I def started to appreciate / understand the brand balenciaga cause I loved their LA runway show. After saving a lot of money I decided to come to this store and try on some new stuff. I was walking around but one particular SA gave me a weird look and acted kinda stuck up.it lowkey made me feel like, “ the rumors are true about all designer stores”. Although I repeatedly said yes I already made an account, this person said yeh… “you need to make a new account”… and in my head I was confused. Was it my outfit, was I not believable… , was it cause I didn’t look like I didn’t have money?? At the end of the day I ended up getting the item I wanted but I was not satisfied due to the customer service. It wasn’t until I ended up paying when this person said, “oh nvm”… like come on man seriously. The fact that you judge me from the start already makes you look like a bad person. Second time I went a SA by the name of Evander was super super chill and informed me about every single piece that I glanced at. Did not judge me for what I was wearing and made me feel comfortable. I was hesitant to come to the store again but Evander definitely made me love the brand even more. He is a great person, authentic, and will help you even if you just want to try on clothes. There were two other people that helped him as well. The Asain male complimented me and made me feel confident and not so choked up. The other male was standing on the side making sure all my questions were answered. Evander also updated me every week about upcoming drops, sales, and just being a good sales associate. In this day and age, I truly believe that it’s more than just clothes. It’s about connections and how you treat people. No matter what kind of background you’re from, how you look, we should all be able to be treated the same. I believe Clothes brings people together and you can def share a deep connection. But when you have one person that constantly chokes people, is judgmental, and just looks like an asshole, get that person outta there. I know this is just a review but what’s the point of treating people bad in the first place. Millionaire people wear normal clothes and drive normal car. Huge shoutout to Evander for just being a normal human being, for being a good sales associate. Will be doing business with...
Read moreMy experience at Balenciaga was absolutely horrible. It all started with of my skin tone. I walked in and the entire staff tensed up. One employee walked to the back of the store to alert security. Two security officers were in the store the entire time I was shopping. At that point I laughed because I had over 4,000 in cash to be spent at this store. I let that incident go and continued to shop for my items. As I walked around the store no one helped me. I had to ask the staff to pull items for me. As I did, Audrey Won made a rude comment about my size: your pretty big, you think you can fit this stuff. I laughed again and said I believe so I wear a large shirt and 36 pants. She said oh we have those sizes. Not to mention I’ve lost over 100 pounds because I’ve struggled with weight issues. I let that situation go because I really wanted Balenciaga clothes. Audrey left to go grab the sweater I ended up purchasing. I tried the sweater on and it fit okay. I ended up purchaing the sweater and shoes. I left the store and 10 mins later I had a change of heart about the fitting of the sweater and wanted to switch to another item. So I walked back to the store to be told by Audrey Won that she was not able to exchange the sweater because her manager was not around. So I came back the following day to exchange the sweater while Annie WILSON was on the clock. Annie then told me because the sweater smelt like my Savage Dior fragrance she could not accept. I only tried the sweater on once before I purchased it. When I came back to return the sweater, It was still wrapped in the paper wrap that was provided at the time of purchase by Audrey Won. It would be very helpful if I was able to exchange my unworn items before the 30 days are up for return. I’ve called Justine Chanteavant the district supervisor on Monday October 8th and I have not got...
Read moreDisheartening Racism Experience at Balenciaga, Westfield San Jose
I visited the Balenciaga store at Westfield Mall in San Jose on October 13th with my family, including my aunts who are in their 60s and were wearing sarees. Unfortunately, we experienced a shocking incident of disrespect and racism from a staff member. As we were leaving the store, we overheard one of the employees mocking us, that we were “stinking".
Additionally, the same staff member didn’t allow us to freely look at the bags. He told us in an arrogant tone not to move the bags and insisted we ask him if we wanted to check a specific one. This made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.
Despite our attempts to address this behavior directly, the staff refused to make eye contact. It was disheartening to see that other staff member nearby did not intervene or offer support.
If Balenciaga expects to cater only to a specific type of customer, then why do they have a store in a public mall? This kind of treatment is unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of the brand. I hope that management takes this matter seriously and ensures that all customers are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background.
If you need a proof, you can check your store cameras on Oct 13th...
