I am an infrequent visitor to this branch partly because their discount color of the week not being visible for customers (it used to be visible before the store remodel) anymore AND prices being just about MSRP/store prices. (If you're going to pay 'new' prices, just buy them new; at least the items will be complete, clean, and NEW!) And I used to go to this branch almost everyday before the remodel that I was even on a first name basis with most of the employees. It's sad what this store has turned into.
Now to TODAY'S (Wed 6/20/18 @~4pm) VISIT: (and my only quip, but it's major) First thing I went to do was use their womens lavatory/restroom. What greeted me was a toilet with the seat up that had what I believe was blood and feces sprinkled/splattered around its surfaces. (I put the seat down with my shoe and saw the seat proper was okay.) There were NO SEAT PROTECTORS!! So I did the next best thing and lined the seat with toilet paper and that's when I saw that THE TOILET PAPER WAS ALMOST OUT (TOO)!! (I didn't think to take a picture of the restroom. My mistake.)
BUT I WAS SUUUURRRRE TO LOCK THE DOOR BEHIND ME!!!!!!!!!!
While I was still sitting, I heard a faint knock at the door and I said "In use"(I was loud enough). Next thing I know, I hear some keys jingle and the door opens and someone almost walks in!! She saw me and closes the door again... BUT SHE DOESN'T LOCK THE DOOR BACK FOR ME!!! (I couldn't since I was still sitting waaayyyy across the single room toilet. There are no individual stalls in this restroom, FYI.) :-O (For having keys, she must have been a manager or something.) smh & facepalm
AND THEN IN THE NEXT :30 SECONDS TWO OTHER WOMEN WALK IN ON ME!!!!! I AM NOT EXAGGERATING!!!! THREE PEOPLE WALK IN ON ME IN LESS THAN A MINUTE!!!!!!!! I'm flabbergasted!! I don't have the words...!! (During the two other walk-ins, I WAS! WIPING!!! MYSELF!!!!!)
I finish my business, wash my hands, AND I MAKE SURE TO PUT UP THE TOILET SEAT so that the next person could appreciate the sad excuse for a public restroom in all its glory.
When I exited, there was no-one there to apologize for the interruptions/walk-ins or the condition of the restroom. Nothing!! I ESPECIALLY want to know who was that woman who had used that key!! I don't know what I want done to her, but nothing is not acceptable.
I left a note on the outside by the door to the women's restroom saying: "DIRTY TOILET & OUT OF EVERYTHING" so that the next occupants won't be caught up $chitt's ā¬reek without a paddle or toilet paper. And throughout my visit, nobody came to apologize to me nor did I see anybody of power so I could tell them the state of the restroom.
WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THE HOURLY CHECKUPS!?!?!
P.S.: I AM NOT EXAGGERATING!!! (Wish I had taken a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBefore the remodel this was one of the top performing Goodwills in the valley. It now looks like most of the other stores and I have not enjoyed my past few visits. It is dark (overhead light fixtures were reduced), compressed, congested (size of retail portion of store was reduced), crowded (a good thing, but aisles are smaller and the nearby blossom hill store closed) and a cluttered mess even by Goodwill standards. Merchandise is crowded and lacks the organization of the former, larger space. In a day when for-profit retailers are adding under counter LED lights because #lightsells and āyou canāt buy what you canāt seeā the designer, in a moment of crazy, chose BLACK SHELVING and removed overhead light fixtures. Recommendation: wear a hiking headlamp that affixes to your forehead or bring a flashlight. Avoid peak weekend times. Visit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI suppose the middle class don't have much left to donate. The pickings are sparse here. There are a few bikes for kids for around $35, some furniture, a lot of glassware and kitchenware, and plenty of clothes that are out of date. From the looks of the clothes, much of it is middle to lower middle class people doing the donating. The Upper classes are selling, not donating, their clothes to "vintage" re-sellers. Goodwill does a lot of good things and they could use some of your donations. You do get a tax write off and donations are around the back of the store via a drive thru. Yes, you can drive thru and donate. With the economy for poor people being quite bad, this place provides reasonably priced clothing for them and their kids. Consider donating your gently used...
