The best part of the store is that it's not very busy. Probably for a good reason. You get most of the staples you get at Indian grocery stores. Not the freshest or the cheapest produce. However, what prompted me to write the review is, it's the third time I bought something from them that's expired or spoiled. See the attached photos of expired drink they are selling 5 months after expiry. Customer service is also abysmal. I have been going to the store for several years and never, literally never, have seen any storekeeper smile. They look at you like they hate you. But still, if it's close to your place and you don't like crowds, you can get stuff here.

This is the most disgusting grocery store in Cupertino. A) sky high pricing, b) store owners only care about money and not relations with customers These pictures are from my last night (30 June2025) purchase of Aloo parathas. Once I opened the pack there is so much of slime and completely disgusting bacterial growth ( initially I thought this could be the water from sealing when they were hot) Store owner shamelessly says this is due to heat of the day. It can NOT be since the amount of slime to the hours of heat do NOT correlate If you care about your health please stay away from this vendor much more so from their cooked products

Edit 4/9/22: Have to drop my rating for this place. Prices keep increasing without limit and food quality seems to have gone downhill. Their Chili Chicken has not much meat and is stringy and tough. Save your money and go elsewhere where you can get much better quality. Older review: Really like the clean cut packaged veggies and all the precooked food. Also plenty of spices and other Indian stuff as well as fresh groceries. Love their peel garlic 1/2 lb for $2.50 Also have tasty cooked dishes you can buy by container

I've been in this area for around six and half yrs and shopped at various Indian grocery stores (India Cash and Carry, Trinetra, Bharat Bazaar). This store is strictly so-so. Most of the stuff here is way more expensive compared to other Indian grocery stores (for e.g. India Cash and Carry). The samosas here are quite bad (too oily). I wouldn't eat them even if they were offered for free. Make sure you check the expiry date of the items you buy here as many items on the shelves are already expired. Milk and yogurt are the most common offenders. The paneer they sell is stale too. We've come across this multiple times and notified the management there but they continue to repeat the same mistake. Fruits are of inferior quality; you're much better of getting fruits from Safeway. The cashier lady here is extremely rude. The only main advantage this store offers is that it's close to our house, so it helps in getting something quickly as long as you're careful with stale items. Parking around the store is good enough. Use this store if you're around the area or in need of something quick, otherwise it's just not worth it; there are much better options near by. I'm giving it 1 star due to proximity...

All prices are 20-30% higher than other stores. Guys, do yourself a favour - go to Bharat Bazaar on El Camino Real / Lawrence Exp which is only 4 miles away (or other locations). Spend the extra .80 cents and save 20-30% on your bill. It is the whole sale supplier to all Bay area Indian stores, so prices are the lowest and service is great + they still give plastic bags for free which you can use as trash bags in your bathroom etc and save on trash bag purchase! Lakshmi Bazaar's management is arrogant and unhelpful. The guy has become rich from your money in 10 years, but he will not give you a single penny in discount, or his employees a raise! Five star ratings were obviously given by the owner himself!! No one in their right mind will give Lakshmi Bazaar 5 stars. The only good thing here is the Samosas. Pricey...

I gave them two stars because they do have a good collection of vegetables. But the customer service definitely requires improvement. The lady at the front is extremely rude. There is no uniform rule about how many customers to let in during quarantine. After two customers came out, I went in. I was the only customer inside. The next one was allowed to go in promptly in 3 minutes. Then, she begins pestering me to hurry up. The aisles are covered with boxes which makes movement inside the store really hard. While I was trying to fill up my cart, this lady tells another person to remind me to leave since she had given me two reminders already. Horrible! I must add that the Punjabi guy and a Punjabi lady have good PR skills. Stuff is overpriced. They take advantage of...
