Easterbrook Discovery School — Local services in San Jose

I have had two daughters going to EDS as many people know it and it has been a wonderful experience, first the teachers and the principal are very committed to providing not just academic training to the kids but building up the character of the kids which is in my opinion what really makes a difference in their future. I participated in the PTO meetings, was part of the school council and volunteered in multiple occasions and I must say that the enthusiasm and participation of the parents keeps everyone motivated as well. I am very satisfied with this school not only for what they provide to the children, but also, how they have allowed me to be involved supporting not only my daughters but the rest of the children as well. The dedication and knowledge of the staff is very impressive. Our daughter is in second grade, and we have been very pleased with the multi-age classrooms and the quality of instruction. The teachers are particularly good at assessing each student and tailoring instruction to their needs. There is a strong sense of community under the excellent leadership of the principal and vice principal, and parents are encouraged to participate in classrooms as part of that community. It's a great place for a child to grow up in. It's just the food... The reason I chose four stars the food is NASTY! The pizza is terrible. But on the other hand there is great friends and nice teachers. Well most of them. The school events there are really good. All the rest of the parts are pretty good accept for the yearbook pricing.
