Itās a shame that the effort they put in to get you in isnāt consistent all the way to the end. My instructor was great, if I could give her a rating Iād give her the 5 stars. She is passionate and makes sure there is understanding of the material. The girl who first reached out to me and gave me the tour was okay in the beginning. After meeting with financial aid, I had questions and I reached out to the her and I never ever heard back. So I went into financial aid and Delilah was (again great to get you in but once youāre in they donāt really care what happens after that). I went to her with questions and she had so much attitude. I thought I was imagining things but I spoke with some of the girls in my class who felt the same way. I thought maybe because weāre in the same class weāve had the misfortune of seeing this lady at her worst BUT I recently met a girl who finished her course also and she said the same thing! Delilah didnāt really explain things thoroughly nor did she provide the healthy space to discuss further. I think that when dealing with huge amounts of money like getting into Carrington, the person in financial aid should not be like this. The school thrives on how many of their students get hired into the field they studied for. I kid you not they even called my workplace after numerous calls to me to find out if Iād gotten hired or not. It was annoying but I let it go also. Anytime Iāve ever had questions I can barely get a call back but when the school needs something they will track you down! I recently went because my graduation is in 2 weeks and the lady at the front by god has the worst attitude. I asked her about picking up tickets to the ceremony and talking to someone in financial aid to get some understanding before starting my payments with MOHELA. She said no one was available which I understood bc it was around lunch time. The problem was when I asked if maybe she had some insight (bc she works there but she also couldāve just said no) so I asked her a question about tuition options vs mohela and I kid you not she gave me the dirtiest look, got up and came around to give me a business card to no other then Delilah. I kindly asked if she could give me Krystalās card bc Delilah hasnāt been very helpful and she scolded me and said well thatās the only person there. So I leave and funny enough someone else from financial aid calls. God bless him bc he cleared up my questions and when I mentioned the lady in the front he ALSO agreed her attitude isnāt friendly. Why when I asked for someone else she was resourceful and said well there is but or maybe a you can wait for Krystal or send an email to someone. Honestly anything wouldāve been better than that interaction. My point is this school is convenient bc of its location and if you get into the DA program Ms.M taught me most of what I know. I have a great job but itās only thanks to her. The school just wants the money and for you to say I got my job bc of them. Well I didnāt get my job bc of Carrington I got my certificate and my job bc of MY efforts and money and bc of my one and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBEWARE ONLY AFTER YOUR MONEY. SUBPAR EDUCATION. save yourself the hassle and debt and just go to your local community College, they have all the same programs offered for 1/4th the cost. This place offers so much when you enroll. And they do not deliver on 99% of it. Due to Covid and the lack of anyone having a clue, we were not allowed to have 2 terms worth of clinical rotations, labs, no access to any of the student centers we paid for. And no they did not offer any form of discounts or pro rated anyone's tuition. They happily made everyone pay the full price and even asked for more money.
I had 3 program directors in a year. Why is the turnover rate so high? Why can't they keep people employed. That should be red flag #1 for anyone.
The financial department is a joke. They pretend they are there for you but really you will do all the work and then when you graduate they will call and say you owe them more money and not tell you why. they are holding my transcripts hostage and telling me I owe them almost 2K more after paying close to 35K for essentially a 3 hour online class without structure. I learned more from my jobs then I did school. And the fact they won't give me my transcripts just shows you they don't actually care, they just see you as a wallet.
DO NOT ENROLL. A waste of time, a scam for money. Horrible. If you're interested in the Vet Tech program RUN. People in the field laugh at Carrington and it's low standards. Try the VASE program or the online Dallas program through AAHA. You'll save money and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I attended this school I soon regretted it. I am a veteran so I had a vet rep that I worked with there. This lady was suppose to be a help (Myette Anderson) to me but instead she made my time there stressful. Monthly she made mistakes on certain paperwork that I had to pay for. Like I said I am a veteran so I was getting a housing allowance while attending and for some reason my payments were delayed on several occasions. This really affected me while attending this school because this was my source of income while attending but I always had an issue with my payments so I was on the verge of eviction because of Myette Anderson repeatedly making mistakes while trying to enter information in the computer. She fat fingered while typing a lot made many mistakes certifying my attendance so this stopped my payments. When I confronted her of her mistake on several occasions she acted as though she was offended that I mentioned her mistake to her. I was on the verge of eviction and too stressed to concentrate on school because of it. I brought this situation to the director of the school and she was eventually fired but I suffered greatly before they finally decided to let her go after several more mistakes. Even though this incompetent individual has been fired this school is still very unorganized and expensive. I went here for veterinary technology only because there aren't a lot of schools that offer this in the Bay Area or even in Northern California. I went to San...
