Update: Their customer service is even worse than before. Food and menu items have remained the same price but they keep chopping items off the menu. You used to get 3 enchiladas for $13 now you get 2. They used to let you add other toppings on your food and now they cover it up with tape and charge you for everything.
I came to get food and long story short, they forgot my food in the over for 15 minutes. 4 customers went by and my food was definitely dry. I asked them if they can re-do it because I know my husband won’t eat it. They told me no. I was pretty upset and that’s my last time ever going to this place. You treat them with respect and they gossip and talk bad about you the second a customer walks away. Seriously? They have no problem doing it in front of other customers either. I used to stick up for them when people would be rude to them when ordering.
Original post: We’ve been coming to Cinco since the first day it opened. I come here about 2-3 times a week, spending over $100 a week between me and my husband and absolutely love the food. I’ve brought all my family and friends here, including my family from Canada and the first stop the make is cinco. I’m an extremely simple girl with extremely simple orders but having language barrier with the staff, the will definitely say mean things about you. I’ve had staff laugh at me and say some mean things just because I like some veggies inside of my quesadilla. Another big issue for me was a regular worker was behind the counter as her job being adding toppings to whatever you choose to order. There was a little down time and some customers that were finished their food had left their food tray with a little bit of food left on the tray. She walked over to pick up their tray to clean up the bar eating area with her gloves on, went to the back sink, picked the leftover EATEN food with those same gloves and threw the food in the garbage and walked back to start adding toppings to peoples food. I waited to see if she would change her gloves before touching the new customers food and SHE DIDNT CHANGE HER GLOVES! I was next in line and because I saw what she did and I’m pregnant and cautious about what I eat, I kindly asked her to change her gloves. She gave me such a bad attitude and sigh. I was totally disappointed in her. She was also apart of the gossiping and being rude in the past but I let it go and didn’t say anything to her. I have never left that place without tipping $4-$5 for my take out order and never got a decent smile or thank you back. It makes me a little sad but I still always tip them because I remember my food service days. I’ve felt like contacting the owner and telling him my experiences because I own a business and if my employees were behaving that way, I’d want to know and be upset. I still support cinco and go on a weekly basis because I love the food but I just hate the way I’m treated and other customers are treated at times when I give them the utmost respect. I also understand their point of view because customers are rude to them at times but they should always treat their weekly loyal customers...
Read moreI have been coming periodically since this restaurant has opened, and the food was delicious, and it has always been excellent customer service and wonderful energy upon walking in. Because of the previous great service, I have referred several of my fellow colleagues of physicians and other hospital staff to this place. I have been informed that they will never return after ive explained my experience 01/27/25. Today unfortunately, is the reason I will never return to The Taco Bar.. I came in with my son around 4pm this afternoon, and there was an older hispanic lady pulling I assume daily transactions at the register, and there was a younger hispanic lady just..there. We stood there for about 15 minutes and we're never once acknowledged. The younger employee and I made eye contact, she rolled her eyes and still said nothing TO THE PAYING CUSTOMER!! Because of this blatant disrespect and poor customer service, I chose to spend my money elsewhere. I refuse to spend my money with an establishment of terrible decorum. Next time...treat every customer with respect regardless of...
Read moreI remember when it first opened , the food is so damn good and the layout inside is similar to Chipotle but unlike chipotle the quality of food and the freshness is SUPERB. Ive eaten here a hanful of times and still haven't been disappointed. Although ths torta was a bit of a let down. I highly recommend putting mango salso on your food! Also the horchata there is Pretty dam tasty. Definitely my fave burrito place in san leandro. And anyone saying the service "sucks" doesnt understand that when it gets busy they have to move a lot faster. I think the service is just fine. Would've been nice if there was more space inside, not just for customers but also the employees as they look kind of cramped. The paitings inside are very cool and they always have great music playing though i wish there was a little display showing what...
