Hidden Star Orchards — Local services in San Leandro

I've never been to the bar, but Hidden Star sometimes comes to the Fairfax Farmers Market. I've tried several of their hard ciders and am absolutely thrilled with the Goldrush variety. It's dry without any weird aftertaste and very flavorful. I'm not a fan of sugary drinks and have been seeking a full-bodied dry cider since my previous favorite stopped bottling about 20 years ago. This is now my favorite. My next pick is the Queen of Tarts which has lemon added. It's also good, but a touch sour for me. I'm giving only 4 stars because it's hard to get ahold of this delicious stuff - they aren't in my local stores, sometimes aren't at the farmers market, and sometimes don't have enough stock. We met Ray at the San Ramon farmers market. An extremely nice and professional young man. We went with the Apple Grape Cider with his recommendation. It was just outstanding! Crisp, tart and very refreshing. I would highly recommend these products even from just a short meeting from Ray. The product was delicious and he was extremely nice and very professional. Really the best! Ciders are mostly underrated but Hidden Star is awesome. I found myself fatigued with sweet ciders that reminded me of soda pop. My first taste of their cider changed that for me. I found myself using wine descriptors for the apple character. From the sense of must on the apple skin to the bitter notes from the seeds.
