Update,
I have been a customer for 30 plus years and have been through several owners. Today I made a special trip to talk about a sod purchase for my back yard. I put off my trip until after lunch time and arrived at 1:35. It was 89 degrees and no AC in the shop. I asked to speak with someone about sod and was told there is only 1 person and he was at lunch. I said I am disabled, just drove 18 miles and I'm supposed to stand around for 15 minutes while they sit in the break room?! The cashier went in the room and the person refused to help a customer! With 15 yrs customer service experience I was appalled!! I will NEVER return because of a lack of enough trained employees and a lack of customer service!
OLD REVIEW. Great nursery. Good selection of indoor plants, native species, sun, shade, and drought resistant. They carry a great selection of regular and organic veggies as well as fruit trees which are bare root and potted. Friendly knowledgable staff. You can get bark, dirt and rock in bulk as well as bagged plus ferilizer. I have been coming here for over 20 yrs to find healthy unique plants you can't find at the...
Read moreI’ve come here for the last 2 years or so dreaming of the day I could buy all the plants. Finally my time has come, and I feel so supported by the people who work at Evergreen Nursey. Every time I’ve been in the outdoor garden area, someone was always happy to help. Paul is wonderful! I feel his seasoned skills and passion when he educates and guides me through my garden journey, and I am so grateful for his straight up approach. He’s not a yes man to push products/plants. Another employee that stood out to me is Jason (I’m terribly sorry if I got their name wrong), he said he’s been working there for 2+ years & gardening for about 5. He let me ask a million questions, and didn’t make me feel like I was annoying him. He gave me hope that even if I mess up I can keep coming back to try again! Even though some of the plants & soils are pricey, I know they’re healthy & cared for compared to other places I’ve been. The staff alone makes me want to go out of my way (from Rodeo) to come back. Thanks to everyone there for being so wonderful & supportive to new...
Read moreWent there Sunday morning around 9.30am trying to figure out which potting soil to use for japanese maple.
I asked a guy at the cashier and he just point me the picture of the soil on a board and left me there and go on with his work. I understand it's early and they could be busy but all I need is probably 5 mins.
I then go outside to find the soil that the guy suggested. That guy saw me and I try to get his attention but it seems like he doesn't care at all. After checking the description i wasn't so sure if this is the correct soil so I asked another lady.
She is very helpful unlike that guy although she is in the middle of something. She asked where do I plant it and what maple and then she told me the soil that guy suggested might not be suitable since i'm planting the maple in a container. She answer my follow up question and left after she confirmed i'm satisfied.
She is a game changer, if she is not working there I think I will have a very very bad impression on this nursery and...
