I went to apple because my 1 year old Mac stopped working. It was a week after the 1 year since I bought it, and because I didn't buy an insurance apple wanted to charge me $430 just to look at the computer and fix the basics, they said I may loose all my data and that if there was a water damage it will cost more money. Luckly I found Alice Computerworks and they were on point, gave me fair prices and I ended up spending a lot less, not loosing any data and having great service with a free warranty.
