I'm updating my review for SVD. I had a few issues with my first couple of auctions, but my experience has been much better since then. I also have a better understanding of how the auction business works and why some of the previous issues occurred.
I have take part in many auctions the them now and while I've had a few other minor issues pop up, the people at SVD have been really helpful and responsive each time. For example, I bought a lot with an iPad as part of a kiosk and when I wiped it I found there was activation lock. I reached out to my contact there, and he got in touch with the seller to have the lock removed so I could actually use it.
Another time, a specific tripod model that was supposed to be included in a lot was missing. I didn't realize it immediately but when when I did a short time later they offered me a refund for the item when I contacted them.
The auction business is tough, and problems will happen. I'm rating them on how they solve those problems, and I have to say I'm pretty happy with them.
My old review.
I purchased almost $2000 of lots at a recent auction. After winning and paying the invoice they repeatedly delayed my schedule pickup time and then emailed saying the sale had been canceled with no explanation as to why. They have ignored multiple emails requesting additional information. They just blamed the seller. It makes me wonder how this could happen. I would assume they would have a contact before starting an auction or at least have an agreement before taking my money. Still waiting on my refund. I passed up another auction because my funds were tied up with this auction. I was in talks about reselling some of the items so their failure hurt my credibility.
This is the second shady thing they pulled. Last time a purchased from them they tried to tell me that one of the items that was on a shelf listed as "with contents" wasn't included despite there being a close up picture of that item in the listing saying i only paid $18 for it so I shouldn't expect to get it. You can't change what's included just because you didn't get as much as you thought you should. After raising a fuss about it they did give it to me and acted like they were doing me a favor. I don't consider that a favor
For an auction house they really don't seem to understand the concept of what an auction is. If I had bid on $2k worth of stuff at another auction and then just said I changed my mind and didn't want to buy it anymore I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be as forgiving as they expect their customers to be.
They better figure out how to prevent this from happening again because I imagine the circle of people buying from auctions isn't that big and something like this can't be good for your...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of participating in two auctions organized by SV Disposition in Columbus, Ohio, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of fantastic. With over 200 winning bidders involved, the complexity of the event could have been overwhelming, yet the SV Disposition team handled it with remarkable efficiency and professionalism.

I am thoroughly impressed by SV Dispositionâs performance in Columbus and highly recommend their services. They have set a high bar for what a successful auction experience should be like. Kudos to the entire team for their...
Read moreBeware Do NOT do business with SVD!!
These people will give you a run around. This is the second time this company wasted my time, money and swindled me out of my purchased item. I bought an item on auction, paid for it, received and invoice, made an appointment to pick it up. I confirmed my appointment the day prior to make sure that my item was there for pick up. (Remember this is the second time this has happened to me) Upon arrival I am told my item is not in the warehouse. That a Facebook employee took my item. They proceed to tell me Facebook employees are at liberty to take any of the items whenever they want and itâs policy in the fine print (this is false information, it is not in the fine print). I am then told my item was taken by these Facebook employees on Tuesday night. I had confirmed my pick up appointment on Wednesday morning, over the phone with the same person telling me my item was taken out of the warehouse Tuesday morning. I know that a lot of the items they auction are good deal, however it will end up costing you a day of your time and gas money, then be left...
