The pharmacy unfortunately is horrendous to deal with. I truly don't believe that it has to do with the staff (for the most part they are really kind and most provide good customer service). I imagine it's the organization being cheap about staffing. The pharmacy line is horribly long 90% of the time at any time of day. I registered for the express pass feature which has helped. However, I deal with issues there on the timeliness and communication alerts with that. Here's a common example: ordered my father's parkinsons medication last week, it said it would be filled by the following Monday. Not having the ability to wait that long, I called to see if we could get a partial fill since most times when the wait is that long, the medication isn't in stock. I was told that it could be filled in its entirety and to come before 5. The app was never updated to let us know that it was ready. The medication actually was not in stock and we were provided 4 days worth, with no new alerts or updates on the phone system or app. So I call today since Dad will be out of medication again and I was told that the medication was in but that the order had not been worked on. I was advised to keep an eye on the alert to then retrieve my express pass. I decide to come to the store because there isn't an alert or status update on the app and the pharmacy was closed before the time provided on their phone system. This is common and...
Read morePoor Customer Service and no accountability. At the new location my wife dropped off a prescription for me on Wednesday. At that time she was told that it would take 10-15 minutes to be filled. It took 45 minutes before she was informed that they did not have enough medication to fill it and she would have to return the following day. The following day she returned and waited another hour until being told that they did not have the medication and would have to return the next Tuesday. The following Tuesday she returned and waited an hour and 15 minutes before being told that "the medication had not arrived". It has now been 12 days since the prescription had been dropped off and I was just told that they will prepare it today after I spoke to the manager.
The general attitude from behind the counter has been very unhelpful. The tall Asian woman that was there today was visibly disgusted by my frustration and was completely unapologetic for the series of inconveniences.
After speaking to the manager, I am certain that his authority will have very little affect on the poor service and attitude that my wife and I have...
Read moreUnderstaffed, at least at the counter. 1 person serving the pharmacy counter, 6 more avoiding eye contact. 20 minutes to reach the counter. Five people ahead in line when I arrived, 7 behind when I finished. I had hoped the service would improve with the new building, but so far it's been worse.
At the register, I suggested they staff both counter positions whenever there is a line. A nice lady advised me that they were supposed to have gone home already (it was 6:30pm; the pharmacy is open until 9pm). Seems like a management issue.
Stocking of the shelves in the other (non-pharmacy) areas of the store seems to be a another management challenge. Sometimes, depleted items are soon replaced; at other times it takes more than a week for small consumables (e.g., snack items, cough drops).
Nice, friendly people on...
