I've got to say that the Mill Valley Film Festival is a class act especially when compared with other festivals. I read, above, some grousing about the sound at Throckmorton, and firstly I think they've improved it since that review, and secondly -- it's the Throckmorton!, I just can't take that for granted. There is a passion to this festival. Its somebody's baby, and a well cared for well fed one at that. They go way out of their way to care for the artists involved and for the public and, believe me, you don't always see that. (Frankly I like all film festivals, but this one, and the Doc Utah festival -- a more homespun version -- stand out).
