Response to the response from the museum: I was there today, Thursday, July 6, 2023, and I got there at about 3:28 and waited around at the door of the closed, darkened museum until 3:44 pm. Another two people came in that time to try to visit the museum, too, but left because it wasn't open.
The windows were fascinating, but the museum itself wasn't open at the time it said it was open. I only had one afternoon in San Rafael so I guess I won't get to see the actual museum. It's a real shame, because I could see that there was interesting...
Read moreThey had a lot of displays with a lot of detailed information that did a great job explaining the purpose of propaganda and how it works. The displays also did a great job putting each piece into a larger context (if a certain symbol was used in a particular piece, they explained what it was supposed to symbolize, for example).
The lady who runs it was also very friendly and eager to explain the collection. Attendance is free (they ask for donations, but it's completely optional and they don't try to pressure...
