Visited around 7:15 am on 10/16/24. Asked where the greeting cards were and the associate grumbled as she told me. I get it, going to work sucks, but people may ask you questIons at your job, especially when every store is laid out different from store to store. Went to check out, but one problem, we were trying to purchase a few hundred dollars worth of gift cards for Bosses Day, and only self checkout was available till 8 am. So, as you’d figure there were a few hiccups with a few of the gift cards (it happens). However, the associate was not just rude but totally aloof and un-self-aware. While attempting to help us out, which she didn’t, we had to figure out things on our own, she got sidetracked, and was muttering about how she lost her phone as she wandered off. Another associate, but this one was even more disgruntled, not wearing any uniform or name tag, all dressed in black, and we find out later is “off the clock,” claimed that we “ruined her day”. 1) if you’re not clocked in, maybe you ought not be on the floor working in any capacity 2) this all could have been avoided if you had a register with a human open or any presence of quality management before 8 am. If you don’t have enough people to help the customers out and there’s such a management deficiency, why be open this early? On a side note, as we were leaving, another customer was asking if anyone had seen a phone she may have just left behind and they were so rude to her and couldn’t care less. This store lacks...
Read moreThe wife and I are done with Kroger being our main grocery store. We are very frustrated currently with several things. First, we have lived in the are going on six years. Seems every 1.5 to 2 years they feel the need to completely rearrange the store. Takes weeks to months for them to finish with the complete chaos they produce, and it takes several more weeks for us to re-learn where everything is. This is by far the most frustrating thing they do.
Second, they now want to make it harder for those of us who want to dash in and grab essentials. They now have deemed that it is wise and necessary to put all lettuce produce, eggs, orange juice, butter and other things behind glass doors. Just like they do with frozen food. The problem I have with this is there is now either carts and people blocking the glass doors and access to the grocery items or, there is someone with the door you need to access items and they just sit there. One use to be able to reach from the side and grab what you need. Now, you are effectively blocked and have to wait.
Just don’t think Kroger actually thinks about the individual shopper anymore so we are moving on to publix and since we are prime members increasing the amount of shopping we do at...
Read moreI went to this store to pick up turkeys for my wonder CNA staff. I called ahead to make sure they had enough and I was told they did. I loaded up all the turkeys in two buggy's without any assistance. They we're heavy. I got to check out and Sherry rang me up. It came up to $894. We knew there was something wrong and Sherry sought help eventually the unit Manager Jack Boyd came. At this point I had loaded and unloaded several turkeys from the buggy to check pricing. When Jack approached I was super tried from all the lifting. He hardly noticed me and told Sherry that he would be limiting the amount of turkeys I could buy. I asked him where does it say that. Sherry took out a sales paper that did not include these turkeys and showed the limitation but it was for the items in the sales paper. We learned that the prices on the turkeys were not marked correctly and that was one of the reasons for the over charge. Because of Jack Boyd we had to go from market to market to buy enough turkeys for my staff. He would only allow me to purchase 8. He never apologized for anything. He blamed it on Kroger coorporate. This guy needs to be working in a position that doesn't require interaction with people. What a...
