Wonderful Massage — Local services in Sandy

First of all, one star is GENEROUS. Google led us here following all these reviews and we were very disappointed. Pulled up the the address and they’re now called Sunshine Massage NOT wonderful. We were weirded out by being greeted by a little woman who spoke next to no English but proceeded to CHARGE us for our massage before we even got it!? My gut said to leave buuut we paid it hoping to get that all out of the way. She then proceeded to add 10% to our $70/pp charge. When we questioned why, she said “oh sorry no English” so we thought, cool-there’s your tip just leave please after our $154 charge.

Needless to say, the massage was subpar at best, the room was a bit stuffy and warm (which was fine for me but hard on my teddy bear of a husband). Afterwards, as we were getting our clothes on, they opened the door without knocking. And to top it off, as we were leaving: that same woman stood there with her card machine requiring us to pay a tip. My husband put in $20 and she said something else to him and changed his number to $23!? We just looked at each other in amazement lol

We felt bullied into paying by trying to remain kind to people who don’t speak English and in turn felt like we were taken advantage of since we’re not the type to question or argue lol lesson learned. The masseuses were nice but they didn’t massage as well as other “Asian” spots we’ve been to. Here’s the real point tho, if the massage was good, $177 for two people isn’t a bad deal. I wouldn’t even write a review if it was atleast a good massage but alas, the pressure wasn’t there and they kept leaving the room (and the door to our room open) to answer the door when customers showed up. Wonderful massage lives up to its name! Annie is a fantastic massage therapist, she is so attentive to tight muscles and does a fantastic job varying intensity and following up with previous hit muscle groups.

Massaging previous areas continued to melt tension and knots that for me don't always loosen after the first time. So many other massage therapist at other studios seem to quickly move to the next portion of the body and never revisit where they have massaged.

She was very professional and the spa was very clean. I'm excited for my next Wonderful Massage experience! Thank you Annie!

I enjoyed not feeling the pressure to up scale my service, no membership plan, or the rush of so many big spas. The service was affordable and I was able to walk right in.

Paid for an hour and half massage and they only gave me an hr massage!! The lady did a terrible job as massaging me literally putting her knees into my back and grinding them into me!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, THEY ARE A SCAM!!!
