I ordered takeout from here last night. When I went in to pick it up I asked for an extra cup of sweet and sour sauce since it does not let you order one online. The lady said it was $2 for an extra cup, so I went ahead and paid for it. When I got home (I live less than 30 seconds from the restaurant) I opened up everything to start dishing it out. The "extra" sweet and sour sauce they charged me for wasn't even 1/4 full. The sweet and sour pork I ordered was so soggy that the breading was falling off of the pork itself and the pork was hard like it was overcooked. I ordered a thing of cream cheese wontons and they had NO cream cheese in the middle, it was just fried wonton wrapper. The ham fried rice was burnt and tasted disgusting. Only decent things we got were the pot stickers and egg rolls. I contacted Seamless who I ordered the food through and sent them videos of the food I received and showed them how awful it was because I paid $50 to only end up being able to eat two things. They said they would refund the three things I was not satisfied with and I thought that was the end of it. Fast forward to today, I got three different phone calls and voicemails from Asian Potato, and couldn't answer because I was at work. Finally after the third call I got a message stating "still have not hear from you...sadly, we will place you on our do not service list, hopefully you will be happy with your next provider" Like what? They never even gave me a chance to call back after I got off of work and now they are saying I am on their do not service list? Fine with me, I've ordered from there a couple times and every time I order it is not good or mediocre at best. Do not eat here. Not worth your money and if you try to tell them your food wasn't good, they won't make it right and will just not...
Read moreAsian potato has the most terrible food I have ever had. I have eaten there twice, same location, both times delivery. The first time the food was awful... but I figured it was just what i ordered. This time I ordered Beef and Brocolli and Chicken Lettuce wraps... both favorites of mine which I have had times and at many many different restaurants. Their lettuce wraps and beef and broccoli were horrible. So since I only ate a few bites from both, I decided to call and speak with a manager about this, I mean I did spend 23.00 dollars on two entrees with no sides. He told me that they are popular items and I probably am just used to Panda Express' Beef and Broccoli and that there is nothing wrong with theirs. Well ok... I don't eat Panda express so that made no sense where that came from. He was a total jerk, and told me I was making up crap and was trying to get something out of it. I said no I never complain. I have just been disgusted for the second time on different menu items and I don't care to get anything I just wanted to let them know. Well he acted like I was the meanest person in the world... but I was just upset I paid 23 bucks for crap. Well he said he'd send me a gift card to get other stuff. Which doesn't help since their food sucks. BOO Asian Potato your food and...
Read moreAsian Potato became a family-favorite after we discovered this hidden gem a few years ago. It's a low key and chill atmosphere, and the service is usually good.
The best thing on the menu, bar none, is the orange flavor chicken. It's unlike any orange chicken you've had, and I urge you to treat your taste buds to this citrus-flavored dish. The Pineapple Massaman Curry Lo Mein is also fantastic (and a mouthful to say)! The pot stickers and fried shrimp are good appetizers, and comparable to other Asian restaurants. The ham fried rice is an excellent side dish. I wasn't a fan of the Bejing beef as a standalone (too spicy over time), but it would be good as a shared entree with three or four people. I also didn't care for the Mongolian beef. The waitress warned us, but it's an absurd amount of onions compared to beef. I also didn't care for the flavors. In general, I pass on the beef dishes here.
It's a smaller dining room, but we've never struggled to get a table. The bathrooms are in the back behind the curtain. Parking is shared in the strip, and it can be pretty crammed, so exercise caution while navigating through. If nothing else, the dance studio tends to have available spots when they're closed for the day. I absolutely love Asian Potato and will continue...
