I came in around 10pm on 7/12/19 and was shocked to hear the guy working at the meat counter cussing up a storm. It was the young Caucasian blonde guy that needs to improve his vocabulary. The other guy working wasnât using foul language.
I asked for a pound of ground turkey. He started chit-chatting with me about how hard it is to get the precise amount the first time. I laughed and agreed that it looked difficult, to which he replied âMost guys just give a f*ing extra half a pound and donât even ask if people are okay with it. Itâs bullst.â
I awkwardly chuckled and said âYeah, thanks for the help.â I walked away and even as I was shopping in the general area, I could still hear him cussing as heâs chatting with his coworker.
I heard him saying that his job is âtoo fing hardâ because he has to remember too many things and how he deserved his âmotherfing promotionâ because he works hard.
I was in the aisle in front of the meat counter when he said the thing about the promotion, to which I loudly said, âReally dude?â He apologized for being âF*ing loopyâ because itâs been a long day for him.
I had enough. I went to the register, paid, asked for a manager, and shared with her my experience. She was nice and said sheâll talk with him.
Look, Iâve been shopping here for over 10 years. Iâm loyal to my local stores. I enjoy this store but this guy put a really bad taste in my mouth. Isnât this supposed to be a family store? Iâm extremely disappointed. Iâm definitely going to be rethinking my shopping choices from now on.
I just hope the company isnât steering away from âAn American Tradition To Serve Your...
Read moreThere are things I like, and things I Hate about this store. Produce Dept. Is average, Store is relatively Clean, Selection is Average. Meat Dept. Is above average- good selections, price, quality, service is exceptional! Problems: There is "Always" a line at cashiers. Although friendly, they spend too much time socializing with certain regulars- or each other...( I have often had to wait while they discuss a shift change, or gossip about an "unusual" customer). Even the Manager, will open a line when the customers are backed up 6-7 deep, but will hold up his line with over and above "friendly" conversation with a customer he knows, and then not even engage me/or others in conversation- even though I have shopped here for 1 year. Some cashiers/staff are colder/less helpful than others... Even though the closest grocery store by me...the last time I was here I said never again...For convenience I went again...but not going again! I will drive the 5min to the next Grocery store -whether a Stater...
Read moreThe good news is for being a mainstream OC market or grocery store, (depending on where you're from), they're open late. Well later than most that is, only to be trumped by the Ralph's on Chapman open until midnight. But Stater Brother's stays open till 11pm every night if the week!!! The bad news is that they recently got rid of the buy 4 or more bottles of wine đˇ and you used to get 30% off the already well priced vino. So now there's no incentive to stock up.. boo!!! Anyhow the selection is not great and is frankly somewhat overpriced. However it is consistent and there are quite a few locations do you can generally find one less than 15 min away from wherever you might be. Overall I'd give them about a 6&1/2 out of 10.... For food, prices and selection and a 9 out of 10 for wine selection, wine prices and staying...
