Asked for 2.5 pounds of ground beef and I mentioned I wanted to use it to make burgers. The owner took out a big chunk of meat from the fridge and started taking the fat off of it. I thought he was going to grind some for the store because the trey was empty. I continued my shopping and paid at the cash without looking inside the bag of meat. For some reason, I decided to take a look and to my astonishment the bag was basically ground FAT with very little traces of meat. I told him it was not acceptable and I couldn't consume it even if I wanted because I have high cholesterol. He declined and said it was the right ratio for burgers, 20% fat. I told him it was more like 70% fat at least. He said he couldn't exchange it because it was cut "especially" for me. I realized it was hopeless to speak logically with him. I left the meat on the counter and left after I had already paid for it ($20) before seeing it. What a SHAME! To lose a regular customer over this! What a shame man! I'll never set a foot...
