Do not bury your loved ones here if you can afford it. They don't allow you to decorate the grave. They will take out anything you put out for your loved one if you buy the plot that only allows a flat grave marker. Flowers are only allowed in the hole in the marker. If you want to put religious items, or other markers, floral wreaths, little tiny statues, etc, they will rip it all up. They clear it out. And I was just informed they are getting more strict about it. All the windmills, floral arrangements, etc that I would see on the surrounding graves are all gone. The only thing left are some flowers in the grave marker. So unless you can fit a small satue or decorative garden stone in a small hole in a grave marker, you can't have it. Read moreMy father passed in 2002 in this park was immaculately cared for. My mother passed in 2012 and they still did a good job. I’m noticing the Care in the past two years dropped off dramatically. I am told it’s due to lack of staffing, well I think the city could afford to send anyone who mows parks lawns over to the cemetery and care for the weeds, bushes, and trees. Yes I understand we have had heavier rain this year but I wish I could say it was only this year I’ve noticed the decline. I was truly embarrassed over the weekend when I took guest from out of state to visit my parents gravesite.
So If it is As explained to me a staffing issue, they say they don’t make a profit, then truthfully I would think twice before putting my love ones in the city ran memorial.

Read moreI love this place, most days. Today, on Father's Day, was the exception. I went to place flowers out for my Father, Grandfather, and Uncle. I could barely find the graves because of the overgrowth of crabgrass. It was so thick that it wouldn't budge when I tried to pull out the older flowers I place there in May. I am disappointed. I couldn't leave the flowers I brought and ended up bringing them home. We haven't had much rain lately, did they overwater? Did the groundskeepers miss a few days/weeks of work?
