I went to Dr. Pham's office to adjust the height of the crown for one tooth on 10/27/2022. He aggressively up sold me on unnecessary procedures, which damaged my another tooth. I had that tooth with the old silver filling. I didn't feel any uncomfortable, and didn't complain the silver looking at all. But he recommended replacing the silver material with the white, without specifying any solid reasons. It was my fault that I chose to trust him and I didn't ask any questions. After the filling, the tooth had been super sensitive and hurting. I can't bite using that side. Only after 3 weeks, the filling fell out. I had to go to his office for a new filling.
Actually the original hole filled by the silver material was deep and big, and closed to the nerve, so the replacement easily weakened the already weak tooth because of the drilling. The second opinions from other dentists are because no new cavity and that tooth didn't bother me, i might want to leave it alone. But now, I might need to do the crown and root canal treatment if the new filling doesn't work.
I will update later about how the new filling goes.
Please protect your teeth and be careful about the unnecessary procedures he recommends.
The office is clean, and staff are helpful.
--------- update on 11/21/2022 -------
I got the new filling on 11/21/2022. In Dr. Pham's office, we had a long discussion about the potential causes of the pain after filling and why filling might fall out. I appreciated Dr. Pham's great patience. He called and emailed me next day to follow up. That tooth felt much better. I can bite on that side. The only issue was that that tooth was still little sensitive to hot and cold.
--------- update on 11/28/2022 -------
I went to Dr. Pham's office for a follow-up this noon on 11/28/2022.
His staff took an XRay of that tooth at the beginning. Dr.Pham found a tiny space between the tooth and the restoration, which might be the reason why the tooth was still sensitive. He removed the filling materials, put in extra liner materials that can provide extra protection for the nerve, then re-filled the hole. Dr. Pham put a lot of effort into making the filling perfect - his staff kept taking x-rays during the procedure. The whole process took more than 1 hour to finish. Again, I much appreciate his patience and time. I could tell he was doing his best to fix the tooth.
I will share the updates about the...
Read moreIt was horrible. So bad that I wouldn’t even give it a one star review. I would give it a zero star review. I went for my 6 month since I was due for it. My first appointment was great but when it came to my 6 month it was horrible. I kept telling the dentist to stop due to me being in pain and she wasn’t stopping. If she did stop she would stop for one nanosecond and then continue. And I have a really high pain tolerance to the point that when I opened my head I didn’t even use any medication to get stitched up not even numbing cream. I was in the so much pain that I started crying and shaking. She told me that I was doing a really good job flossing my teeth and brushing them but when my mom came she told her that I wasn't doing so well. She told my mom that I should floss after every meal and then my mom said “every meal?” And then she said like once everyday. And she said another sentence and right as she halfway said everyday she then changed it to once everyday. Clearly changing her words to what my mom wants to hear. I was crying so much to the point that I didn’t stop and like any human would do they would stop until the other person stopped crying or at least calmed down but no she kept on continuing. She told me that I was doing a really good job brushing my teeth and then she said that I got 2 cavities in my back teeth and she used a device to push down my gums to show the cavity since my gums were covering it. Well if my gums were covering it how did it even get there in the first place. And now I can clearly see the hole but before I even went it...
Read moreSTAY AWAY!!! First off, this is my first ever negative review online in my entire life, so please read on. I went to Meridian Dental in July 2020 for my annual cleaning and routine check up. One of my tooth from my upper right jaw (#3 or #4) was totally fine and already had a filling from a previous dentist, but one of the dentists named Daniel at Meridian Dental examined my X-rays and told me that tooth needs a refilling so he opened it and filled it again, but he did such a terrible job that I have not been able to properly chew on the right side of my mouth ever since. My tooth has become super sensitive to anything that is slightly cold or warm. The pain is so excruciating to a point where I just avoid chewing on the right side. I called them and complained and went back to be seen by Dr. Pham himself and Dr. Pham told me to just take some pain killers and sent me home. I've called the office several times after the pain killers weren't working and they just don't care and haven't offered solution or anything. To be honest I don't even want to go back to this office, because I don't trust them anymore at this point and don't want them to further ruin my tooth. I'm having it checked by another dentist. I was so disappointed in their horrible service and lack of follow up and lack of remorse! Please take my advice and stay away. I've been to many different dentist throughout my life and never had anything remotely close to this horrible experience. The dentists here have no clue what...
