I was so hopeful. I love a massage...almost any massage...I had previously on a whim walked in here with my 7 month old, out of desperation, selfishly hoping they hadn't any clients to have a major knot/kink worked out of my neck...not my usual practice but like I said...desperation. Although they did have clients Lynda sat me in a chair in the lobby and worked on my neck for fifteen minutes. It was amazing in so many ways. I was so grateful and determined to find time to come back on my own and have a proper Thai massage. In fact, Lynda invited me back, as one would, and suggested an end of day timing so she could spend time on me. Three weeks later I found that time and was so excited with anticipation. Well, I know to speak up and I should have but did not. The massage was so painful. Part of me thought it had just been so long I must be a ball of tension and knots and this will turn out okay. The other part of me knew better but this is not really my issue. I would have actually come back for a new experience given my responsibility in the matter had I not felt taken at the register. Having been told the total was $50, giving $60 after pulling cash out of the convenient atm with a $3.50 fee. There was sudden confusion with limited English involved, I was told I had a deep tissue, asked if I am Kim and again was told I needed to pay $20 more. Under pressure I once again used the convenient atm with a $3.50 fee. All in all I paid $80 plus $7 in fees for an extremely unsatisfying massage. I actually checked for bruises later that night. I was so confounded. At home I went online and none of their pricing matched what I paid. It wasn't fair or okay. It seems I was given zero option but to tip $20-30 on a terrible experience which again was not the issue...feeling taken at the register is the issue. Unfortunately I...
Read moreIt’s unfortunately, that the communication sucks among the people working there. I walked in with a very bad knot all around my shoulder blade, neck, upper back area, and I spoke to the woman before letting her know where the tension and the focus should be since I only wanted a deep tissue massage around a specific area and I got everything else but that. So the message got lost somewhere along the line and it just sucks that I had to keep telling the masseuse to focus on that specific area of my left side shoulder blade, but she didn’t understand a little frustrating since you have to pay upfront and when you question them about the satisfaction, it sucks that then they get upset for questioning them for not doing something correctly from the start. Such a bummer. Not coming back wouldn’t...
Read moreI booked the ‘Back, Neck, Shoulders, and Foot Massage’ yet got a very painful full body massage and asked the masseuse to lighten the pressure because of pain several times and considered stopping the massage altogether. The masseuse not only did not understand me or change her massage technique when I asked her to go lighter, but it was also very uncomfortable for her to be staring and pointing at the tip sign afterwards. I would never come here again and do not recommend this place, as you can see I’m not the first reviewer to note that they do not change their technique or massage at all despite giving feedback which is a horrible way to provide...
