I am a lover of fine jewelry and am always looking for unique pieces to build out my collection. I follow Sofia Kaman on Instagram and really like their work. I went to the store on a Sunday and it was sadly closed. I came back on a Saturday with a friend to do some serious shopping. We came to the door which read "Ring for Bling" and rang the doorbell. There was a couple inside and it looked really quiet. The sales person opened the door and asked if we had an appointment. We said that we didn't but would love to come in. The sales person was very short with us and said that we needed to book an appointment and to come back another time. It was quite shocking that she didn't pause to keep us engaged - like checking their schedule for the rest of the day, taking our contact details, or even locking in an appointment right there. Instead, we were treated with no class and no regard. I understand policy and why they want appointments, but if the sales person took a moment to see who she was being rude to, she would have seen two qualified buyers (Rolex, Bulgari, Cartier, Van Cleef and multiple diamond tennis bracelets and rings between the two of us). Read moreBY APPOINTMENT ONLY EVERY DAY! Despite what their website says (appointment only on Saturdays), I went in on a Friday and was nearly turned away because I did not have an appointment. The store was completely empty and when I rang the doorbell I was asked if I had an appointment, I said no, I would just like to look at one specific ring (I had seen it online and wanted to try it on before spending thousands of dollars). She told me they were appointment only and were fully booked for the day, at which point we both looked around the completely empty store. I told her I came for one specific ring and she acquiesced and let me see it. I tried it on for approximately 7 seconds and then said “okay I would look to buy it”, to which she told me I could buy it online. Even though I was there. In front of her. In person. Maybe this is what happens when sales people are not paid on commission. They should update their website or at least add “by appointment only” to their showroom door.
