I'm proof that you're never too old to learn! When I hit my mid 30's my complexion started changing, my skin became hormonal, my pores became enlarged, years of sun damage and the scarring from my early teenage acne suddenly appeared, I developed melasma on my cheeks, all causing my complexion to be uneven and textured. I spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on every makeup product that promised to give my skin a youthful and flawless coverage. Seriously, I could stock an entire Ulta store. For several years, I would spend an hour or two, following YouTube tutorials every day, desperately trying to master a more even complexion and youthful appearance and it just never came out right. So, I gave up. I packed away my mini fortune of makeup, using only a tinted moisturizer and mascara and continued to be extremely self conscious about my skin. Then I saw something about Darcy on Facebook, I read her reviews, drooled over her before and after photos and decided to treat myself with a 1:1 session with her. Let me tell you, SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I only brought a fraction of my makeup with me to my appointment bc we would have spent the entire session going thru all of it, but she completed what I've been trying so hard to obtain with just a handful of my products. I learned SO MUCH...so much that I thought I already knew from all of those tutorials. Darcy was so sweet, so incredibly helpful and most importantly, you just know that you can trust her. I've never felt as beautiful as I did leaving her studio, it literally pained me to wash my face that night. I was really scared that I wouldn't be able to recreate what she did, but the next day I sat down with my notes and pictures and did it in about 30 minutes! Thank you so much, Darcy! We are lucky...

Just… WOW! If there are women out there like me who discovered Darcy during a time in their lives when their skin was not their best friend; leaving them very insecure, without confidence & not wanting to show their face to the public eye - Darcy uses her brushes like wands with secret star dust! I walked into her studio after a long busy day, without any expectations and just grateful that someone else was doing my makeup (trial run before my wedding) before dashing off to my engagement photoshoot (I literally changed in the car while my amazing friend & wedding planner drove me to meet my fiancé). Darcy’s personality, energy, artistry, intuition & total awareness of whoever is sitting in her chair is impeccably impressive. She managed to calm my nerves by entertaining my gloomy humor, she is VERY easy to talk to & does not take offense to suggestions or if something needs to be changed. However, for myself - very little changes were necessary as she seemed to be in tune with what my face & “look” was asking of her. She made the space so comfortable that it felt okay to ask her to add a little bit of this or that here and there following her moment of being “done.” Darcy made me feel like an absolute beauty & gave me a sense of “happy” and confidence I have not felt in a very long time. I would not trust to have anyone else make me feel just as beautiful for my wedding day other than Darcy.
