On Target — Local services in Satellite Beach

I truly had no expectations one way or another when I walked into this seemingly unobtrusive, quiet, almost non-advertised venue. I came on here and read the reviews knowing 1 out of every 3 reviews are typically fake or paid for. This place had one bad review but, each one had something in common; they all ONLY referred to Jerry. It was obviously a one-man operation. Every one of the good reviews is SPOT ON, haha. I'm writing this because SOMEBODY needs to stand up and say "There is a hidden gem here!" Because Jerry isn't the type to brag. So, after spending a couple hours with him this afternoon; I found it worth MY time to give some kudos where its due. Ha, So, when you walk in, there's no doubt about it; it feels like you've walked into somebody's hobby garage. There is stuff you WON'T find anywhere else, hung on miscellaneous shelves & tools all over (NO Firearms "lying around", to clarify, but if you had the time you could probably assemble one haha) quality items which were probably a third the price of what I've seen at the bigger name ranges. So, I was looking for something specific; like one review said "it's messy but Jerry knows where everything is", nailed it. I had ONE specific firearm I was looking for, he said hold on, and he went to the back of the store and came back and produced PRECISELY what I was looking for! haha. Moreover the price was I'd bet 40-50 bucks cheaper than anywhere else. Over the time it took for my background check to pass, we had the opportunity, which was a pleasure, to just shoot the breeze with him and he was as cool as can be. Very humble, very polite. Has some GREAT stories to tell and I'm really happy to say I made a friend in Jerry today!

*It's worth noting (and he has been contacted about trying to remove bad reviews and it doesn't concern him, that's the kinda guy he is) his single one star review; it literally, has absolutely nothing to do with his business! I had the opportunity to hear his side of the story at least and what it sounds like, is a "revenge review". I don't want to get into more detail than I should here, so I'll be vague. However, apparently he purchased an item which didn't work. (Did I mention Jerry is/has a PH.D.? This man isn't stupid.) So, I trust him when he says it didn't work. When he returned said item, the proprietor of the other store insisted on user error implying Jerry. This isn't the kind of thing Jerry screws up, don't take my word, go talk to him. So, Jerry told the guy what he thought, and that person, went out of their way, to try and make Jerry lose business, specifically by giving him a bad review. It, says more about the person leaving the review than anything, and I'm sorry for them. However to try and cause additional suffering is some nonsense, and I felt it was my duty to look out for this guy. He helped me out tremendously, was SO accommodating and nice, you gotta go yourself.

I promise this isn't a paid review, I have not been hired by him or anyone else to write this novel about OnTarget. Truth is, my parents own a condo very nearby and it was the most convenient at the time and my first stop of the day, wound up needing to be my only stop! I purchased a gun online and had it shipped to this dealer. When I went to pick it and do the background check Gerry entered my name wrong and my background check was denied! I went through a month long appeals process before I finally found out from FDLE that the gun dealer entered my name incorrectly! Now he wants me to give him $30.00 to send the gun back and pay a restocking fee for a mistake that was clearly his and has been confirmed with FDLE. I already purchased this exact firearm and passed my background check in 2 minutes at another dealer. This is ridiculous. This store also does not have AC so you will be covered in sweat waiting for your background check to come back that is if your name was even entered correctly an or it even comes...

This place is a honest mom and pop gun sop with the best prices in the area. If you are looking for a great gun shop with no non-sense and not pushy sales tactics this is it.
