Kroger — Local services in Savannah

My mother went to Kroger today, alone to get groceries for supper. Went to check out, and didn’t realize she was in the “express lane”. The elder lady working the lane, said to her “this is the express lane” my mom went to put her stuff back up and go to a different lane and the lady snapped back with “no you are already here”. She was very rude and hateful and should not be working in customer service. My mother apologized for the inconvenience, and she shouldn’t have to apologize. The rudeness doesn’t bother my mother, it’s just the fact my mother is sick, with breast cancer and just had surgery FIVE DAYS AGO!!!!!! She isn’t supposed to lift anything heavy, bend down, etc. She can hardly maneuver for that matter. And the fact the lady was so inconsiderate and rude is what bothers me. Then she didn’t have enough room in one buggy, so they gave her two, the “bag boy” didn’t even offer to help her take not one but two buggies outside. Isn’t that their job? This Kroger ruined Thanksgiving for my mom. I ordered a Thanksgiving dinner long distance for my mom to pick up and sent her an electronic gift card I purchased from the Kroger website to pay for it. The manager on duty, who refused to give her name, refused to accept the gift card because she "had never seen one before," and kept calling my mom a scammer. I have used Kroger egift cards many times in other states with success. I use egiftcard everywhere.
