Dropped in around 530 Saturday evening and it was not overcrowded. Waitress came to us right away and asked for drink order and gave us menus. Then came chips and salsa. Chips were fresh, warm and tasty. Salsa was ok. We asked if they had spicier option and they served us two types. We actually mixed the two together and were happy. I found the menu to be quite extensive and very affordable. I usually go with a combination plate at most Mexican restaurants, but an item caught my attention and I just had to try it. It was the molcajete, kind of like fajitas but served in a large lava bowl and with a side of rice and beans and 3 flour tortillas. It is a melange of steak, chicken, shrimp, onion, pepper, green onion, casa fresca cheese avocado, cactus and tomato. It was so huge that a to-go box was necessary. When ordering in the future I'll ask for a spoon and knife. One to scoop molcajete into flour tortillas and one to help cut strips of cactus and green onion into manageable pieces. The beans and rice were delicious as was the molcajete.

The place really filled up by 6:00 and was very busy. The service was pretty good, but it took some waving to get refilled drinks. Although we were given boxes for leftovers, 10 to 15 minutes later we had to go to cashier and ask to pay there because we hadn't been...

I said i have a to-go order. Can I see a menu? Pointed to item on menu and I asked the waitress so the price is right for these tacos? Yes she replied. I asked do yall make the tacos with two tortillas on each taco? Yes . And 2.00 dollars each? Yes ! So I ordered 5 chicken and 5 steak! While letting her know I wanted green salsa she asked if I wanted fake or real steak? I looked at her like "REAL OF COURSE!!! " LIKE WHAT IS FAKE STEAK? I WAS REAL HUNGRY, HAVEN'T EATEN ALL DAY and it's 5pm. So I go to pay when order finished and $44.04 is my total. I said what, there 2 dollars each! He showed me the menu and said this says beef and you got steak and chicken. I said yea. Do he showed me on menu that the steak and chicken were almost 4 dollars each. I was so hungry and late getting husband from work I totally forgot too mention the woman standing behind him took my order and I asked 3 times too be safe. So I paid them the 44.04 and went home. So much deception can't even rely on anyone to their jobs! If that woman didn't understand me she should have gotten some one who did. She scammed me and I...

I wish I could give El Potrillo 10 stars. I went to pickup a to-go order, they are about 10 minutes from my house, I picked it up and got home to find I was missing 1 plate of just beans and rice. I called up there, preparing to come back and pick it up. They offered to deliver. Never in my life have I had a restaurant offer to deliver when my order was messed up, but the manager did here. El potrillo has always been our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area, the food is great, service is always incredible, but due to this El Potrillo will ALWAYS have my service. I have never experienced customer service this PHENOMENAL....IN MY LIFE!! Not only did they bring my beans and rice, they loaded the bag down with extra cheese dip, chips, salsa and a gift certificate!!!! Definitely would recommend El Potrillo a million times over!!! THANK YOU FOR BEING THE BEST and actually caring for your...

Yesterday was our first time trying El Potrillo. The food was delicious and the servers were the absolute best. Definitely try the tacos and chucky guacamole!!! The waiter had to ask a couple to move their truck and trailer that was parked in the bowling alley parking lot. She was extremely rude to the staff even though she was the one who parked in front employee parking signs. After moving the truck she began to complain about everything. I heard her telling the waitress that her food (that she had eaten 75% of) was bad and her cheese dip was terrible. I personally thought the cheese dip was delicious. I took the rest of it home with me! It’s a shame to see anyone working with the public treated like garbage. We decided we would be back again this week before retuning home. 😊

Fast friendly service provided by an entirely overworked crew. The El Parradilla was a great mix of flavors including some of the best Carnitas I've had at a smaller restaurant in years. Tender and juicy with just the right amount of oily goodness. Served at a sizzling temperature. The chips served are light and crispy and complimented the, definitely unique however watery, salsa.
