Donut Shop — Restaurant in Savannah

At 8 in the morning they were out of strawberry glaze donuts, were not going to make any more (they close at 2? Why would you not make more?) and the lady at the counter was completely unapologetic and rude. I was one of MANY people who wanted that specific one for their kids. Half of their front end is covered with a huge broken mixer thats leaking out onto the floor, inventory and trash making it hard to get to the bathroom where the cold water in the sink barely works. This place is kind of a joke to me, they really need to focus on some things that they clearly dont think matters. Next time you wont get my money - it's very clear when people dont know how to do business and dont care...

This place is cranking out the best "basic" donuts around. I say "basic" because you aren't going to find a bunch of Instagram-worthy donuts here. You are going to find very tasty standards. Yeast donuts, cake donuts, bars are all good. I'd love to see some buttermilk, but this is a review, not a wish list. The people running the place on the inside are great. Super friendly and always with a smile. By the way, did you know they do more than donuts? Their breakfast sandwiches are pretty good as well. Also, don't pass up their Kolaches. I've been known to get one for myself and finish it before I get home, so it doesn't count against my donut...

I’ll still give 5 stars because the donuts are so good. Usually good service. I was attempting to make conversation this morning with the older lady at the drive thru and order. I told her I had $10 in cash I’d like to stay under and she ended up ringing me up for $10.94 so I used my card anyways. It seemed like I was a burden for her. Felt rushed ordering and she wasn’t paying me any mind. I was already rushed getting my youngest child to school this morning. At a donut shop, a smile goes a long way.
