I can't say enough about how amazing my experience has been at L & L and with Andrey. My fiancé and I are local and stopped in to check out the shop one day to browse and are so happy we did. Andrey is seriously the coolest and so incredibly skilled. He's super nice, very, very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things and show examples & comparisons. After learning more about him, his years of experience and design work, I decided to turn my mother's engagement ring over to him to be redesigned into something I would actually wear. The ring was from about 1980 or 1981 with a gold nugget band, super tall setting and 7 tiny diamonds in a cluster on the top. Not a style I would ever wear. I've been wanting to do this since I got the ring about 15 years or so ago but was always so nervous that I'd ruin something important. Meeting Andrey changed that for me almost instantly and I'm so grateful for his beautiful and careful work on something so special - and so fast! He used 3 of the 7 stones to represent me and my two siblings and we'll be using 3 more of the stones to create a matching ring for my sister with the wedding band from the set that she was given. I couldn't be happier with how it came out and am so grateful. My sister's two girls will have these rings down the line which we're so...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking to get her engagement ring fixed as the band had worn down and cracked. We went to L & L to get it fixed, and the owner told us the ring was in such bad shape that it was unfixable - the band couldnât be rebuilt and the stone setting was going to fall apart. His advice was to take the diamond out and make a new ring for thousand of dollars, and the whole time we felt judged by him for the quality of the ring.
We ended up taking the ring to a higher quality jeweler in Portland, and they said the ring was completely fine and itâs very common to have the bottom of band replaced. They fixed the ring for a few hundred dollars and itâs back to new!
Oh, and in addition to the engagement ring, we asked the owner of L&L Jewelers for his advice on a bracelet repair that we told him had a lot of sentimental value. In the process of evaluating the bracelet, he broke the band further, and told us it was junk. We were astonished with how little care he showed for our items.
I will never go back to L&L and highly recommend others looking elsewhere for jewelry repair to avoid being taken...
Read moreI had met Andre at church and always liked his integrity. Recently, I needed an engagement ring. I let him know what I was looking for. An emerald cut, medium pink saffire. I'd thought of 2 smaller pink saffires beside it. He said they would take away from the beauty of the center stone. We went with higher grade white diamonds instead. He has an app which was interesting. We picked out the pieces that would hold the stones and then he had the ring made. He steered me away from 18 carat gold, even though he could have made a little more money. I've had several woman come up to me saying, GREAT CHOICE!, GREAT PICK! ETC about Connie's ring. The other day someone texted Connie about 15 feet away saying, I can see it sparkling over here. A lady took Connie's hand the other day, and said how beautiful the ring was. She asked, where did you get it? I said, Andre's (L & L). She then showed her engagement ring and I saw how it sparkled and said she'd got her's there too. I've had a great experience and it's great doing business with...
