I have nothing but good things to say about the donuts and the service. I love the gluten free options. (wish they had no sugar added/lowcarb/keto/gluten free too for people with insulin resistance or diabetes). . They are very tasty if you warm them up in the microwave for a bit as well. The staff was very friendly as well. I gave 2 stars for the atmosphere but it was simply because of the bathroom situation. There was a family restroom and then a multi stall all gender bathroom. Someone was in the family restroom (also any gender) so I went into the any gender bathroom. I get these places are trying to be progressive and inclusive but it was very weird to have a man go in there while I was in there but what's not okay is that the men do not put the toilet seats down. If you are going to have multi-gender bathrooms the least those who stand up to pee can do is put the toilet seat down for the women. It's only common sense and curteous for the women who go into that bathroom after a man uses it. Not only that, but if an ederly woman goes in there and doesn't notice the seat is up she can sit and fall into the toilet. Put a sign in there telling them to put the seat down because clearly nobody ever taught them that is the respectful thing to do in...
Read moreI went into the Scarborough location around 2:30pm on a Saturday. I had recently experienced a family tragedy and felt that it would make me feel better if I indulged in some "comfort food" and great coffee. What I encountered was a server who was very abrupt, impatient, short-tempered, and easily annoyed. Before I had a chance to step up to the counter he demanded: "How many donuts?" "What kind of donuts?" I was not familiar with the donut selection or ingredients, and the signs were upside down. "They're all potato donuts" he scoffed. He was wearing a headset so I could not tell if he was talking to me or to a drive through customer. I quickly placed my order and moved to the register to pay. I noticed this server used the same abrupt, annoyed, impatient tone of voice to speak at the couple who were next to me in line. So much for feeling better. The entire experience made me feel worse and I regretted my decision to stop in. Unfortunately, mine was an unpleasant experience from start to finish. The coffee was not hot and I had lost my appetite for "comfort food." Constructive Feedback: If servers can't be pleasant when serving food, I recommend that they let someone else do the serving. I will NOT return to...
Read moreLet’s start by saying I am not a donut guy. But these are something else! The staff was kind and helpful in making recommendations and also when we went back to ask about more detail. They have many GF and Vegan options. Didn’t try them but seemed just as delicious.
Recommend: the Holy-Cannoli donuts. These are what really shocked me! They are crispy and not too sweet. The cannoli cream could sometimes get overwhelming as it’s ricotta + sugar, but their take on it is perfect as the dough is not sweet. Furthermore the fact that they are thinner and a normal donut makes them EXTRA-crispy! Too good.
My favorite has been the everything topping donut, as the salty topping contrasted very well with the cream.
I personally, as not a donut person, couldn’t finish a second one, a toasted coconut chocolate one, as it wasn’t as crispy, but still I would have enjoyed it if I didn’t have to make the comparison with the incredible...
