Most embarrassing visit. First and last. This place has really yummy looking gourmet chocolate and candy. It smells like amazing. Every corner me and my son looked around at the gift. I couldn't help but notice wherever I went an associate would show up. They weren't the most welcoming. There was a sign on one of the chocolates saying new try me! My assumption was it meant a sample. So I asked. The woman behind the counter got all flustered and acted like that's not a thing. Don't put a sign out saying try me if you don't give samples. Very misleading. At this point I'm so uncomfortable. I've got a budget like most of us do, and I told the woman behind the counter. She goes to ring me out, and my mistake, the taxes put me over my budget. I said let me run to my car to get some change. I come back in where I assume the manager took over the register. She was very rude and said I don't know what we are doing here. I told her we are just cashing me out, I had to run out and grab some change. She replied we don't except two forms of payment at this time which is fine. I said thanks for your time, and started walking out. This experience was already embarrassing enough. Now the manager follows me out to my truck! Where I'm putting my toddler in his carseat. She kept trying to explain and I told her I accosted her apology, and to just leave me be. She keeps trying to offer me the candy for free. I told her no thank you. I don't want any charity. I tried ro pay. She would not move away from me! So close that even after saying please move out of the way, I had to back up into her to close my door! I walked around front of my vehicle while she continued to try to give me the candy. I'm at tears at this point. Wasn't having the best day already. I finally got in the driver's seat and drove away. This was the worst experience I've ever had anywhere. Being followed around the store( I only had a very small purse, and my two year old on my hip) like I'm some kind of risk. Then about the sample. Then the whole checkout situation. I won't be going back there. I'll find a different gourmet chocolate store in Portland where hopefully I won't feel so...
Read moreI visited the store on 6/7/23 to make a Father's Day purchase. I asked for one pound of MOLASSES CHEWS. When I got it home and opened the box I found that what was in the box was not the molasses chews I had ordered. They were molasses chips. Unbeknownst to me and apparently the employee that was serving me, molasses chews are a seasonal item in the winter. I returned to the store this morning and explained that I was given the wrong candy and I wanted to be compensated with a different choice of candy. I was told they could not do that. I asked to speak with the manager. I was told she was unavailable to speak with me. I was given her name and contact number. I called and spoke with her and explained exactly what happened. She said she would have to ask the owners if I could be compensated with a different candy. She spoke with them and I was told "no, they would not compensate me". I paid $28 dollars for one pound of candy that was not the candy I had asked for. Bottom line here is Len Libby clearly does not care about customer satisfaction. They had zero interest in doing the right thing and for that I write this review.

Read moreWe went nuts here buying way too much chocolate and other sweets but they're oh so good! In addition to chocolates, they offer a diverse range of sweets, including fudge, truffles, caramels, and seasonal treats. I had some kind of caramel-y candy made from a 200 year old recipe that was absolutely addicting.
This charming candy store has high-quality chocolates, friendly service, and unique offerings, making it a must-visit destination for sweet enthusiasts. And yes, there’s a cool chocolate...
