This is a really good spot quality wise but I hesitate to give higher stars. We ordered 2 rolls of spicy tuna and got home and one of the rolls was almost entirely tempura. You could barely see any fish in the roll.
I am intolerant to gluten and it makes me very ill. Tempura almost always has gluten, I personally haven’t found gf tempura. I had their sushi once before and got sick but was confused as to what made me sick because sushi is usually a safe option for me, depending on the sauces used. Personally, I have not been to place that cuts the rolls down with tempura without putting on the menu that they do. No where on their menu do they have a warning that gluten may be in their tuna rolls.
If you have intolerances to gluten or any other allergies, please ask about the rolls you are getting because clearly their menu is not up to date with allergy warnings. It was my mistake for not checking like I usually do but is still a bit frustrating that this wouldn’t have been...
Read moreDelicious little spot. This isn’t a sit down restaurant, only about 2 small tables. Definitely an incredible takeout spot. The fried rice was INSANE! The best I’ve had. Their prices and lunch portions are amazing. It’s great to have a spot that offers lots of sushi, but also hibachi or cooked foods for some variety or for those who don’t eat raw fish. Give this place a try for your next to go order.
UPDATE: Ordered again on 10/30/22, a year after my first review, and the quality is still UNMATCHED!!!!!!! The fish to rice ratio for the sushi is insane!! So much fish! We tried the Crab Rangoons and when I tell you there was no oil residue in the takeout box which is unheard of…. The oil that it is fried in is very clean. Sooo so happy that even after a year, Kirin is still top 3 sushi I’ve had (Visiting from South FL) :) The quality of the food is fantastic, the place is super clean. Also, they package the...
Read moreIt's 1 am and I have one thing to get off of my chest. kirin makes the BEST sushi i have ever had the pleasure and honor of indulging in. I think about the sushi when i'm daydreaming in the shower, when i'm in the middle of life altering conversations, at weddings, at funerals, when i'm with my lover, when i've just eaten the most delectable treat; the thought plaguing the back of my mind... the one thing i know to be true... is that no earthly pleasures will ever come close to the peace and satisfaction that this sushi gives me. I've tried other places in hopes for something remotely close so so many times to no avail, so i've come to the conclusion that a magical sushi fairy lives in kirins kitchen and sprinkles its magic into this sushi and whispers sweet nothings into the chefs ear while they prepare it, therefore there is no way anything could ever replicate that pure magic, and i am...
