Greenbush Package & General Store — Local services in Scituate

I usually don't write bad reviews but this was one of the worst checkout experiences I've had in my life. I came in here the other day with my cousins to buy some snacks and we thought it would be fun if I got a few scratch off tickets just for fun. I'm 18 (the legal age for buying lottery tickets) and when I get up to the counter I hand over my ID. There were two men behind the counter, one of them maybe in his 20s and the other was in his 50s/60s. The younger of the two looks at my ID and goes to hand me the scratch off when the older man snatches it out of his hand, scans it, and YELLS at me "ITS A FAKE" loudly enough for everyone in the store to turn their heads and stare at me. My ID is a vertical ID that literally says "under 21" on it and has my birthday that says im 18 mind you. I'm standing there like a deer in headlights cause that's my ID and its 100% real (I literally used it at the airport the previous day) and this old man yells at me while I'm standing their with my cousins and I don't know what to do when the nice young man tells the older one that "She's not trying to buy alcohol, just scratch offs." this older man then goes quiet and mutters an apology. I purchased the stuff and left but it's safe to say I will never be going back. That man had some crazy power trip and seemed to enjoy being a grown adult yelling at an 18 year old girl who was just trying to have a nice evening...

Package stores are dime a dozen but Green Bush is at another level. They're always friendly and helpful and they will find a way to fulfill your requests for special wines and alcoholic beverages.
