Date night. Discovered the perfect spot in Scituate. Newly opened a few months ago. Plenty of parking in parking lot. Great ambiance, atmosphere and brightly decorated. Nice bar and comfortable seating. Clean, well lit and not too noisy. Friendly greeting at the door. Our waitress, Kendra was wonderful and excellent! Attentive, friendly, courteous, polite and professional. Servers were great as well. Food and drinks served with perfect timing. Awesomely prepared, good portions and awesomely delicious. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower for appetizer, clam chowder and the fish tacos and oysters po’boy for entrees. The buffalo cauliflower lightly battered with just enough heat and blue cheese crumble. The clam chowder was the best. Just enough potatoes, seasoned perfectly, deliciously loaded with plenty of tender clams. The fish tacos and oysters p’boy, lightly battered, fresh and tasty. Mango sushi was fabulous! The whole meal was refreshing and filling. Compliments to the chef. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to try out the rest of the menu.

Recommendation from some locals to us Wisconsin travelers. Everything was fresh and extremely well done. Brussel sprout appetizer was flavorful. The Scallop/Bacon risotto was perhaps the best I have ever had in the States. If you are in the area, Oysterman IS the stop!

Enjoyed a nice late summer brunch on the patio. The eggs Benedict was quite good, with good roasted potato cubes and some nice fruit. The bloody Mary was rather bland, so I won't be ordering that again. Nothing special on the brunch menu though.

Sat at the bar briefly. We were greeted warmly at first and then the bartender came around. He was pretty unwelcoming, the menus we were presented were beat up and dirty. We decided to get a table on the porch because the hospitality didn’t seem to be hitting at the bar. The servers seemed to all be a little flustered and the vibes were off once we got outside. We got a bowl of chowder and the ricotta toast. The chowder was poorly seasoned and lacked almost any clams. The ricotta toast was served on soft white bread and seemed like it was petrified of salt because there was absolutely no flavor. I’m not sure if it was an off night, or if they were just upset we came in for an 8pm dinner. But for the price point being quite high and the quality of everything we got being seemingly low- we decided to go back into town and eat somewhere we felt a little...

Overall excellent dining experience. The nautical ambience they've created combines a balance to the energetic vibe of the horseshoe bar crowd. Food was high quality, service attentive. Special mention of the sushi, both fresh and well presented. Personal favorite was the pasta bolognese, deliciously braised slow-cooked pork, beef gravy over al dente rigatoni was absolutely delicious. Rivaled cuisine I've eaten in Italy! Make reservations and go as I predict it will be the new hotspot in the newly revived Scituate...
