Greatest hardware store around. Prices are a bit higher but the knowledge the employees have far outweighs the little extra you pay and not everything is more expensive so you still may get a deal. Watch their sales ads and but what you think you'll need then. If you need a piece of hardware, bolts, paint, plumbing, the workers downstairs will find it. It's like they know what you need before you even tell them. There's no going home to find out you got the wrong part. It's the right one every time. Upstairs is really cool. They got alot of neat stuff for around the house. Things you won't see anywhere else plus everything you could possibly need in your home or for your garden. Always have cool LED things, windchimes, clocks, rain gauges, candles, decorative flags, grilling tools, you name it they got it. I believe you can have your window screens redone and plate glass cut too. I'm sure there are alot of other services provided i dont even know about. They sell the best outdoor power equipment you can buy. eXmark mowers and all the parts to repair them too. My wife and I usually only go there together once in a while cause we'll spend a few hundred bucks in the blink of an eye. It's all on things we need around the house that you just don't see anywhere else so it adds up quick when you can find everything you've been putting off because you don't want to call the products customer service. They rebuild faucets, carry hand tools, power tools, pex and shark bite fittings in addition to black pipe, regular copper sweat, and the other threaded plastic fittings along with barbed fittings too. I could spend a day writing about this place and between all the stick it's still the employees that make this place amazing. How they have so much knowledge on their products they carry is just unreal. It's a store i hope never closes and if they would it wouldn't be Walmart or Lowes or home Depot cause they don't hold a candle to the service you'll receive here at Brilharts. Great store! I'd say it's the best hardware store...
Read moreFor a seemingly small hardware store in a small town, this store has had just about everything I needed to work on my house and other projects, projects that often use more specialized hardware (like gun screws, sleeve bearings, etc).
It's not a Lowe's or Home Depot, partly because they obviously don't have the real estate to stock everything big box hardware stores have, but also partly because the employees are incredibly friendly and helpful.
They recognize faces, they make conversation, and they actually interact with their customers and know their store.
I also want to comment on the pricing. You would think that a smaller store wouldn't be able to compete in pricing with the big box stores, but everything I've bought so far has been either on par or maybe slightly more expensive (nothing to complain about).
This store has become my first stop, not my last option, in home repair and general...
Read moreThis store has the thing that really makes a great hardware store, racks of bins of nuts, bolts, screws, fasteners, etc. instead of the blister packs you see at so many stores now. They also have a wide selection of home repair and building items, yard and garden, they even have a homebrew beer and wine section. In a seperate building they have a tractor and mower department.
Absolutly the best hardware store I have...
