We had the seafood buffet that is available the first Friday of every month for my birthday. We made reservations for 7 & still had to wait. They were busy though so no big deal. We sat at our table for about 10 minutes before a waitress came over. We ordered drinks which were never offered to be refilled. Our waitress was extremely sweet, nice & happy to get anything we requested, including silverware. We had the buffet. A lot of items were empty & took some time to refill. You could tell some of the staff were not happy campers. We did notice, however, how heavy some plates were that people were carrying back. The fried items were way overdone. The following items were really good: crab legs (bring your own crab fork), crab cakes, the pasta bar (the beef was awesome) & New England cod (could have been hotter). Most of the other items were ok. We didn't partake in the salad bar. Items in the cold bar weren't really labeled. We think it was cocktail sauce, but it looked like ketchup mixed with some type of cream (smooth & light in color). There was a white tartar sauce looking item, but it was next to some actual tartar sauce, so we aren't quite sure what that was. The chocolate cake I tried was extremely dry, but the icing was good. The dining area & restrooms were clean. There was live music in the bar which was really good. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience but could have just been better. It is hard to plan a buffet if you have a lot of people show up without reservations. We previously had the Sunday breakfast buffet & it was much better. We did notice a soda is as much as a beer. Lol We will sit in the front room next time if available. Will we return.... probably. Everyone has a bad...
Read moreTo preference we are kind of pizza snobs. Well Carsons did not disappoint! Let's start with PRICE, WE PAID $32.31 and we had enough food for at least 6 people. We went to order pizza before and learned they only make their pizza on certain days, I believe it's Thursday-Sunday. Today is Sunday and we put in an online order to pick up at their convenient drive thru window. So back to the FOOD... I give this pizza an 8/10. The only reason it's not rated higher is because I'd like to be cooked a tad more to get a crisper bottom and have the cheese completely melted. The sauce on this pizza is absolutely a 10/10! The Pepperoni is a 10/10! The dough was so good, we just like ours a little crisper. The cheese, even though to the eye didn't look completely melted was AMAZING! I will post below in the photos the cheese mixture that we chose because you can chose other options, which I'm excited to also try. Oh and we also got a basket of homemade chips with a side of ranch and they were also fantastic, another 8/10. The pizzas we got were mediums/9 cut with Spanky Original and Spanky...
Read moreThe chicken Alfredo was awful. The "sauce" was pretty much just milk floating in the bottom of the dish. It didn't stick to the noodles at all and had zero flavor. I'm not even sure there was parmesan cheese in the dish. The chicken was rubbery and bland. The manager, instead of being apologetic and tactful in her approach, was condescending and only defended the food, saying that their Alfredo sauce was normally "on the thin side". This wasn't that. It wasn't sauce. It was milk. The pierogies were frozen out of a bag, they were not seared, and the menu says they are served with caramelized onions. As a chef, I can tell you that caramelized onions take a long time to make and are cooked low and slow until they are dark brown in color and sweet in flavor. What I received was raw red onion. The fresh cut fries were undercooked and soggy. They were likely not par fried properly prior to cooking. The wings were decent, albeit a bit small. No complaints from anyone about the Reuben sandwich. The consensus at the table was that we will not return to this...
