Mama's Vegan Cuisine — Local services in Scottdale

First of all let me say this was my first time hearing of this restaurant and I believe food truck, I was in the area and simply searched up best places to eat near me. After seeing that it was vegan and it had a 4.9 I had to try it.

The seating is outside which was fine since we weren't planning to necessarily dine in but would have. It's actually a few food trucks parked in the area and it's covered and there are park benches for you to sit outside and enjoy your food. There was only one food truck in operation when we went which was on a Sunday afternoon. The building itself may have been a check cashing place or an old gas station, I'm not sure, either way it's been converted to a commissary kitchen. When I tell you the ribs were unbelievably good. If you have been trying vegan food then you probably have experienced some dishes that were not necessarily tasty lol. When I saw ribs I had to get them because it's not an option that you normally see. These jackfruit ribs, were absolutely delicious. They had a smoky taste and a tender rib like texture. It comes with a side of this delicious homemade barbecue sauce which I didn't even need because the ribs themselves had so much flavor. Clearly that was my favorite part of the meal because I can't say enough about it lol. The mac and cheese was good, I'm usually not a fan of vegan cheese but I would definitely eat this Mac and cheese, and if I understand correctly it is not nut based. The kale greens were a little bitter which did not change my opinion of this place at all. The cornbread was good, the fries and tater tots were good, although I prefer the fries, the apple cake dessert, which is new, was delicious, and the banana pudding had crunchy, not soggy cookies, 😋

Now don't let me leave this out, I ordered carrot juice but the juicer was down so he offered a variety of lemonade, this mango lemonade which is sweetened with agave and not sugar was everything! Mango pieces floating at the bottom with the perfect sweetness. So overall everything was delicious and I would absolutely return, I might not order the greens again but I definitely would order everything else again! Now I'm going to be in Conyers more often just for this place because I don't even have any other business there lol.

Now let me say this, the customer service was definitely top-notch. He made sure we understood what we were ordering and that we were happy with the order and he was very pleasant. He let us know the wait times and just was a very pleasant experience.

This is not a place that you come to sit down inside so understand in Georgia Heat you're also going to have the flies dining with you if you choose to sit outside lol. But other than that I have no qualms about picking my food up and bringing it home to eat or eating it in the car. Everything tastes fresh and was definitely hot when we when it was brought out to us. I would call this a hidden gem and you don't even have to be vegan to enjoy this food. My daughter who eats ribs said she wouldn't have known the difference and it's actually better then the pork ribs she's used to eating. Thanks for the great meal...

Hit the jackpot with this place and in one of the most unexpected areas in town. Lunchtime for a vegan in Conyers, hummm... good luck (or so i thought). This was only a 15 min drive so of course I went to check it out and it did not disappoint at all!

Mama's is a food truck and it's located in what once was a gas station now turned food truck park.

We ordered the ribs platter and the jackfruit BBQ plate. First I will say that because its made fresh there is a bit of a wait that I gladly accept but if on a time crunch make sure to give yourself enough time to preorder.

The gentleman making the food was so kind and had a beautiful vibe.

And back to the food, the ribs are out of this world! They are so soft yet chewy. The texture is just right! They make their own sauce which I dipped al into and drizzled all over lol. The BBQ sandwich had a hefty serving of the"meat" which I wish I had gotten a better picture of. Our sides were mac and cheese, Cole slaw and rice& beans which were all good although nothing magnificent. Highlight was def the ribs. Go get some!!!

They were SOOO VERY SWEET AND THOUGHTFUL because they did not have to take my order so a VERY HUGE THANK YOU! Now let’s get into this food 🤤🤤🤤🤤 WHEN I TELL YOU THAT IS THE BEST VEGAN FOOD I’VE EVER HAD 🤤🤤🤤 I FORGOT TO PRAY BEFORE I ATE IT , IN THIS MIDST OF EATING IM THANKING HIM FOR THE FOOD ITSELF BECAUSE I ALREADY KNOW THE HANDS THAT PREPARED IT IS BLESSED!!! You HEAR ME ….BLESSED!!!! Y’all I was driving praying and eating at the same time the food was so DAMN GOOD I GOT DONE IN 5 mins too full to finish eating it had to FORCE MYSELF TO STOP😂😂 That barbecue sauce and the honey barbecue sauce ON THE RIBS TOP TIER !!! , THE MAC AND CHEESE make you want to be like “ YO WHO MADE THIS !!!!” It’s SO FREAKING DELICIOUS …..
