Darussalam Mediterranean & Ethiopian Restaurant — Restaurant in Georgia

I ordered a vegetarian plate TO GO and the tiny amount of vegetables were DELICIOUS. That stated the dish was to be served on injera but there was NONE included, not even on the side???

Upon arrival they couldn’t locate my order. After a bit of confusion it was found. When ordering you HAD to select a side to accompany the veggie dish so I ordered rice (it tasted old, flavorless and the entire container was 80% RICE! My “side dish was the main dish. Unfortunately the lentils, greens, chickpeas, cabbage, carrots, and beets were maybe a TEASPOON sized serving DRIZZLED on top of the rice. The salad was soggy but in a part of the container by itself and the additional item in the other separate part of the container was also on top of rice. Highly disappointed because I really JUST WANTED VEGETABLES.

Also, I’m assuming because I ordered it TO GO they didn’t want the injera to get soggy from the veggies sitting on top. BUT had they just stated TO GO orders do not come with the injera…I would have ordered injera as my side. I only ordered rice because I didn’t want a double portion of the same item. I really had a taste for Ethiopian food it’s one of my favorite dishes and I really wanted to try theirs. I wish I had taken some photos but I ended up making myself a salad and veggie burger, because I was still hungry after eating the little amount of flavorful vegetables they...

After reading the previous reviews this place is obviously under new, and terrible, ownership and/or management. The pictures MUST be old because what I saw was NOTHING like the pictures. This restaurant had one dish prepared that looked days old. The employee also took out some beans when I got there that looked crusty and old and dried up. When I said I didn't want either, she brought out some cold rice and goat from the back. Both the rice and meat appeared old, but I wasn't sure and I really wanted some rice and meat. This was the 3rd restaurant I went to and the others were closed. After I paid $60 for 4 trays of cold food and took it home, it smelled spoiled the same night just 2 hours later so we were unable to eat it. Also they don't speak any English here so you better be patient in trying to figure out how to explain what you want. SO DISAPPOINTED! $60...

The restaurant had the lights on as well as 2 open signs lit up in the window but the doors were locked. I could see an associate working right there but they didn't acknowledge me at all. Before I left I called and didn't get an answer. If you're going to advertise being open with lights on and all then be ready to accept customers.
