I ordered the Jr. chicken sandwich and two veggies burgers. Everything was excellent. The food tastes like it's been upgraded from the last visit, specifically the vegetables.
The lettuce, tomato and onions were fresh and crunchy. The onions were sliced a bit thicker than they used to be. They're white onion and have a good flavor without being spicy. Usually fast food restaurants don't strive for fresh, flavorful vegetables so this was a real boost to the sandwiches.
The chicken sandwich was crunchy and the perfect temperature, hot and the bread was soft but strong enough to hold the sandwich together. All the textures worked well together.
The above is also true for the vegetable patty burgers. The pattys aren't fried so they're not crunchy, that's the way the sandwich is supposed to be made. Mine wasn't mushy at all, each bite was clearly defined and very good. The pattys are different from they were six months ago.
I consider the new style to be an upgrade because they have a good flavor and lost the meat taste. The patty is flat with a defined edge that reaches the edge of the bread. It held together well with the fresh vegetables. For anyone who doesn't want meat and can't stand the flavor, this sandwich is worth a try. It also doesn't look like a meat patty so there's no confusion.
With the improved vegetables the patty could be skipped and fries added instead if you like that, it would be worthwhile. This isn't on the menu so you're in charge of assembly.
This was takeout so I can't comment on the ambience of the restaurant. The car had a nice atmosphere haha.
The items were wrapped in crisp paper compared to other fast food places, the paper wasn't effected by steam so it was keeping everything inside. I liked this because it wasn't blasting stream odor into the car and the smell wouldn't linger in the seat.
This location had an outdoor ordering screen in need of repair, so I was instructed to drive around to the window and order. Being in a hurry I drove off quickly and later checked the bag. At that time I realized the receipt hadn't been included with my order. I'm not sure the total amount charged was correct because I couldn't check it. This isn't a typical experience however, and the staff I interacted with were very nice and helpful.
I usually don't visit Burger King but I'll go back, the food was good and the...
Read moreI live in this area, and I gotta say, this place has a lot of panhandlers. One day, I actually posted on my facebook about how a lady flat out told me while I was standing in line: "Buy me some food." No introduction, that was literally what she came up with. Um, sorry boo...do you want a hug? "No I want food, I'll ask the employees for water, sometimes people be kind." "Ok". This is probably not what she was expecting. She left without asking anyone else, employee or customer, for food or money (or mechanical help...she had also alleged that her car broke down outside). Thought it was just my Caucasian face or something. Then there was the night there were not one, but two panhandlers outside (which is another story). And this type of thing is still going on. Why is it that people seeking money/food try to be sneaky when at any of the other fast food places, but not at this place? And they are so close to the local jail! I think they've learned the management isn't really calling police on them. UPDATE from 7 months ago (someone pointed out that I had reviewed the wrong BK for this update...hey, there's 2 locations on Memorial...sorry to the location up the road): Do yourself a favor and don't even try. This place will never get better. I've have yet to have an experience going inside where I don't get hit up by panhandlers. Also have had issues where panhandlers ask me, but don't ask anyone else (employee or customer) and then I realized I'm white. But hey, new day today! Today, I'm like, "I'll just stay in the drive thru." Lady has me repeat what I ordered, and then says "you'll have to come in for your drink, pull up". So I pull up to pay her and get the sandwich. Then, she yells at me at the drive in window that I have to come inside (implying for the whole meal). Yeah...no thanks. I would have been happy to take the empty cup and run in quick to fill it, but I am not waiting memorial drive food service times inside when we all KNOW your...
Read moreThis location is as bad as it gets. Not sure what has happened to the brand that was Burger King but from my view this company is on its way out. Made a late night purchase thru the app. Arrived to pick up order and the entire menu board appears to have burned up. It was jet black. Attendant came on speaker and told me the pull forward. Nightmare beginning. Pulled forward gave my name and I was told to pull forward yet again. Within a reasonable amount of time attendant brings my goods. While passing me the order, I specifically asked if it had all the dressings I had ordered on it. He assured me they were. He even called them out. So I pull off and decided to test a french fry. I was colder than a rock. I then became curious about the burger ( Steakhouse Burger to be exact). It had absolutely nothing on it. Not one of the dressings I ordered and had been told were on it. I calming returned to the store and returned the entire order. I asked for a refund but was told I would have to request a refund through the app since the order was placed in app. Attendant stated "all of that is handled by a third party." I arrive home and submit everything (as told) through the app. In an email, I was informed a refund was not an option but a $15 coupon was. Really Burger King?? I don't want your coupon. I want my money. The audacity to force me to give you another chance. Immediately contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. This horrible experience has helped me make the decision to NEVER GO TO BURGER KING AGAIN IN WHAT EVER AMOUNT OF LIFE I HAVE LEFT TO LIVE. The audacity to force me to take a coupon. Steer clear of this place or suffer whatever consequence that comes with it. You've...
