I walked into Bridal Affair this morning hoping to look at wedding dresses (I was informed that this place did not require a reservation). My mom and I were immediately dismissed and told that they were extremely busy/slammed which was fine - we understood. My mom asked if we could at least “look” (not even touch or try on) dresses and the lady VERY rudely told us “no”. She said “if you come back around 1:00, I might be able to help you”. Even after our first unpleasant encounter with them, we were willing to go back because we want to support local shops. I called at 12:40 to ask if they were less busy and the lady said “we told you 1:00” and proceeded to LAUGH at me and she hung up the phone on me. I understand they were busy but my mom and I were disrespected - to say the least. Searching for a wedding dress is supposed to be a joyous time but Bridal Affair made us feel like we were being a burden. It was the worst customer service I’ve ever...
Read moreChelsea was recommended to me by a family member. I just needed a pair of pants hemmed. I dropped them off, it took her quite a while to get started on them. I had actually forgotten she had them and when I went in to see the progress the first thing she says to me is “Oh my god you look awful, are you sick?” I had decided not to wear makeup that day. She then proceeded to tell me there had to be something very wrong with me to have the eye bags that I do and insisted on me going and purchasing an over the counter drug. So that I could “look” better. Every time I entered the store it was a maze of packaging, sewing tools, and fabric. You had to be very careful not to step on anything. A couple entered and did a little bit of browsing before asking what her lowest dress was. When it was too high for the couple they left and she made a comment that she didn’t want their business anyways, they couldn’t afford her.

Read moreI found the perfect dress at A Bridal Affair! They ordered it, and it was just the right size when it came in...My bridesmaid dresses were a nightmare, but not because of this store. I was pleased for the most part. One thing that sort of irritated me, was that I was told that my groom's tux would be free, if I had 5 tuxes rented, and 5 dresses purchased there. The story changed once I had all tuxes and dresses paid for. Not only was my dress purchased there, all of my bridesmaids, and the flowergirl dress came from there. That's 6 dresses. With the groom, 4 groomsmen, and my father's tux, that's 6 tuxes rented. :(
Also, my MOH and I showed up, and had to sit in our dresses for at least an hour and fifteen minutes before anyone even noticed we were sitting there waiting. I just think sometimes they need more help.
I don't appreciate the tux ordeal, but my wedding is in 13 days, so I guess it's water under the...
