The saga of why I will never set foot in this Menards again.
We ordered a range and fridge in February and were told that it would be delivered in May. I was OK with this as I was aware of the microprocessor delays. May rolled around... nothing. Called and was told delivery was pushed back to June. June rolled around...again nothing... July...same story. We eventually got the stove, but still no fridge. Around August or so, we asked for a refund, but was denied because it was past 90 days, so they offered store credit...credit for a fridge they didn't even have. September came and a new delivery date that wasn't upheld and into October we go. I reached the national customer service line and demanded a refund, but was told that shipping delays held up the fridge and that it would be in store by November 17th. Take a guess what wasn't there on Nov. 17th, but was "on it's way and will be there in a couple days." Lo! It had arrived.
I was told that it would be delivered the first week of December. We already paid for delivery, but I asked to have it brought inside the house and have the old one hauled away. They had no problem with it, gave them my CC info to do it. The Friday delivery came and the delivery guy said that there was no mention of the haul away or bringing the delivery inside. My wife called, and the lady in delivery lied to her, stating that I told them I didn't want the old fridge hauled off because I was "going to sell it." Right.... That didn't stop them from charging my card the $40 like they had actually done what I apparently asked not to have done... (it was refunded).
To sum up... Order in February... Delivered in December... horrible customer service and lying from their delivery staff. And you know it's bad when I call and give them my name and they know the order already and the issues involved. I was "the guy with the fridge." It took so long to fulfill this order that they didn't even have it in their system anymore. Will not step foot in this...
Read moreI have spent a lot of money in this store. I've lived in Scottsbluff about 3 and a half years now. I've always been happy with the service and products til recently. My son is a frequent shopper there also. He had told me that he wasn't wearing a mask in the store and he asked for some help. The person he asked informed him he wouldn't help him because he wasn't wearing a mask and in fact no checker would check him out without it. Unbelievable!!! I went in there a week or so later and as an experiment I wore a mask on my chin to see if anyone would question that. I walked all over the store and didn't see any associates except I did see someone following me around like I was stealing something. Then I was looking at mattresses and out of nowhere a lady came to ask me if I needed help. I asked her if she would refuse me customer service if I didn't put my mask up. She told me she couldn't do that but I wouldn't be checked out if I didn't put it on my face. When I got to the checkout I asked the cashier if she would check me out without my mask up and she said no. I needed a few things that I got there because I didn't want to go to Wal-Mart so I put my mask up and paid my money. I'm getting a new house and planned on making several big purchases there but now I won't. Since when does anyone refuse service. I'm taking my business to home depot even though I prefer Menards. Company better think about how many customers they are losing due to their "mask" rules. They...
   Read moreDear Menards Customer Service,
I appreciate having Menards as a shopping option, but I wanted to share some concerns that have affected my shopping experience.
Pricing – I've noticed that many items appear to be priced about 20% higher compared to other retailers. While I understand pricing can vary based on many factors, this makes it harder to justify shopping at Menards when more competitive options are available elsewhere.
Rebate System – While the rebate program is advertised as a way to save, it feels more like a system that requires continued spending rather than offering true savings. Since the rebates can only be redeemed at Menards, it forces customers to return and spend more instead of simply receiving a discount or cashback. It would be great to see an option for digital or cash rebates to make the process more transparent and beneficial.
In-Store Experience – The Menards jingle playing repeatedly in-store can be overwhelming. While I understand branding is important, a more subtle or varied approach might enhance the shopping experience rather than becoming an annoyance over time.
I hope you consider these concerns, as they impact customer perception and loyalty. I appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback and look forward to seeing potential improvements in the...
