WORST experience I have had a restaurant. We ordered to go:
Two shredded beef tacos, and a chicken enchilada with rice and beans
And
A beef burrito and chicken taco with rice and beans.
And
A large side of queso.
I was told by the woman the chicken taco would have to be a la carte because they didn't have a meal for that. She asked me if I wanted spicy sauce on my enchilada or my burrito. I told her I wanted spicy sauce on my enchilada, but none of the burrito.
I live 15 minutes away, so I drive to go get the food.
They tell me it's $30. A little pricey, but okay.
I get home and were missing a side of rice and beans and enchilada. I call the restaurant, and the woman doesn't apologize she tells me that they didn't charge me for the enchilada or the side of rice and beans.
I throw a fit asking what we paid $30 for then, and so she tells me to come and get the enchilada and rice and beans. (Still no apology)
So I go there, and I wait for the girl behind the counter to get off Facebook and actually wait on me. I get the food and leave without so much as, "sorry about that." In fact I didn't even get a "Hi, how are you?" Just a bag shoved to me coldly.
Well I get home again (after driving ANOTHER 30 minutes there and back again) and get on their website...
They DID charge us for the enchilada and the rice and beans. In fact, if one meal was 9.95 (because shredded beef tacos are a $1 up charge), and the other was $8.95, unless that queso was $6, and the tiny taco was $3, then we probably overpaid for something else that we neither ordered nor received, but whatever.
I called back, and when I told her I had checked the menu and prices online for what we ordered, and they HAD jipped us the enchilada and rice and beans, and I had to drive 30 minutes there and back again to get them (at this pint our $30 dinner is COLD... Not to mention the food was crap anyways. And the side of rice and beans I came all the way back to get was MINISCULE.) she tried to say she had apologized earlier, and she didn't say that she didn't charge us for it (SHE DID) and she tried to offer for me to drive another 30 minutes there and back AGAIN for a gift card.
I told her NO THANKS we wouldn't eat there again even if it was free. I just wanted her to know that I know that she LIED to me, and I was hoping that she'd finally apologize. And that the food sucked, and that it was made worse by the fact that it was cold since I had to drive 30 minutes there and back again twice to get all we paid for.
She gave me a half-* "sorry" and I just hung up the phone.
If you like cheap, bad tasting Mexican food at top dollar price with terrible rude customer service and managers who will lie to you and call you a liar then this is the place for you.
As for me I will take our business elsewhere...
Read moreI would normally rate Ole a 5 star but today's experience was negatively overshadowed by our server, Susie (short blonde hair/glasses). She first appeared at our table with an ice tea, wanting to know if she could "sell us the drink" she had made by mistake for another table (my daughter took it, thinking we wouldn't be charged, we were). Several minutes later, she returns to the table, saying she needs to take our order now because she's losing her mind so we placed our food & drink orders. She returns to the table with one of the drinks & no chips/salsa/beans (the child drink, we ended up asking a different server for. Another server brought the chips). After Susie served our meal, we noticed our order was incorrect, we had requested guacamole tostadas on our combo plates but the tostadas were bean. When we caught her attention to tell her of the error, she said she could bring us guacamole to put on tostadas. I couldn't believe that was how she thought to rectify the error, we asked for new tostadas as ordered. Minutes after she brought out the tostadas, she abruptly puts our sopapillas & honey and check on the table when we weren't even half way done with our main course. By the time we were done eating, they were no longer warm so we had to ask her for different sopapillas. She claimed the reason she had brought them out so early was because the kitchen was getting busy and she didn't want us not to get them.....What??? The cash and check were on the table in plain sight when she came back but she didn't take it. She didn't come back for several minutes so I had to flag her down to take our check to the cashier (as paying at the table is now your pay preference). Watching her interact with other tables displayed her incompetence as well. I don't normally complain about servers even if they mess up a couple times, everyone has bad days....but this gal seemed to not know how to be a waitperson. We've always had good dining experiences at Ole (food & staff), but not today....bad enough to prompt me to write...
Read moreMy visit was last night at 9:50pm they immediately told me they closed at 10pm so I had to get my order in before the kitchen closes. I said ok they took us to the table again the waitress tells us same thing made me feel very uncomfortable. She asked us our drinks asked them if they had bottled water she said no maybe you should consider that I tried the tap tasted horribly chlorin. My mother ordered the shrimp plate I ordered the ole nachos and my 3 girls ordered menudo. All rapid items so it could be quick on kitchen took extremely long close to 20 minutes or more. After drinks were dropped off I had to waive down waitress because the attention wasnt there that is something that is not tolerated they seemed to be more preoccupied with closing then the clients that were inside establishment. When food was brought out my plate the ole nachos were drenched in oil literally I picked them up with a fork and the plate was covered with oil wasnt happy the plate looked like they got a bunch of chips tossed meat over it and stuck them in the microwave. Let me correct didnt look thats what was done. My mothers plate as well the shrimp were swimming in oil disgusting . the girls were the only ones that enjoyed the menudo. Im from out of town Texas precisely so I was looking for authentic Mexican food this is not the place. This place really needs to do a overhaul on there menu. Im not giving my review just because I have 24 years of restaurant management experience and 20 years of cooking so I know what im talking about...
