What you may expect if you choose Avion on Legacy (Formerly Jefferson on Legacy). Many of these recent reviews are fair in their assessment in identifying concerns we have as residents. Value (Fees, Fees, and more Fees) Available Parking Security Cleanliness Unprofessionalism
Value If reading this you are possibly considering Avion on Legacy (Formerly Jefferson on Legacy) as a place of comfort, entertainment, security, and value. Before committing to the initial awe presented in brochures, online marketing, and in-person visits , I suggest reading the reviews by others both under the name of Avion on Legacy and Jefferson on Legacy as neither management companies have figured out how to treat residents and maintain facilities.
As with any commitment towards something of value, be sure you are aware of the initial price, along with additional fees when comparing to other apartment communities. My initial frustration has come from a mandatory valet trash service that “ALL” residents must pay an additional $35.00/month for someone to take their trash. We were told as potential residents this would be a service that is “optional” and decided when signing lease agreement. As we moved in, we recognize the trash and recycle bins in our kitchen and went back to leasing office to confirm that we do not have to do valet trash service. It was agreed upon that we do not.
This is not the case… ALL residents must pay the flat rate fee to American Management Utilities, Inc. every month.
I believe many of the previous reviews will provide you a clearer picture in the overall value and quality of this community. I’ll move on to Available Parking.
Parking The management will not disclose the poor design of the community space available for parking. This may seem as a petty issue, until you will have to park continuously outside the gates. I will discuss security later on. Parking is designated with numbers and non-numbered spaces. The few numbered spaces are available for a small flat rate of $25.00 a month uncovered, due to the lack of availability you will be placed on a waiting list until one becomes available. The even fewer non-numbered spaces for yourself or guests to park is difficult to find. Simply, parking here is an inconvenience you will encounter as a resident every day that unfortunately the community cannot make room for.
Security There have been recent reviews discussing the issue with no security at our community. I have yet to identify someone who secures the facility, but was provided a business card of a rent-a-cop company to call if there’s ever an issue. Fortunately, I have not had to call. We have lived in our place for a month now and had petty items stolen from outside our door. On my previous point about parking, when parking is very limited and often unavailable there are a few spaces outside the gate for you to park. This only adds to the concern for security of our vehicles and any belongings that are inside. In conclusion for security, expectations have not been met by a long run in terms of what we pay and what we get living here.
Cleanliness Now, I can only compare with previous apartment communities I have been a resident of when speaking of cleanliness. The hallways are filled with dirt, trash, and bugs crawling everywhere. Previous communities I have been at have a regular schedule of spraying for bugs and power wash of hallways, frequently. This facility lets the filth rise and bugs crawl.
Unprofessionalism The management and staff care deeply about communication and concerns when in the process of deciding to live there, but once a resident…. Those concerns and that communication end quickly. Laziness is displayed unbelievably by one staff member in the middle cubicle and a review should be taken soon of his performance.
In conclusion, this would NOT be a place recommending to anyone that desires a place of comfort, value, security, cleanliness, and professional staff. There are many other options here in North...
Read moreAvion at Legacy is the BIGGEST excuse for a "luxury" apartment complex. Firstly, the QUALITY you see in their model unit, is NOT what you get when you move in. The floors are cheap, and shift over time. The walls are a MATTE white, so cleaning them/keeping them looking fresh is super difficult. Especially given the amount of DUST that piles up. I dust and vacuum every other day, and it is INSANE the piles of build up. Don't know that its really their fault, seeing as we live in the desert, but maaaaybe matte walls weren't the greatest idea. The appliances are shotty at best. My ice maker has never worked. The filters their provide you are the cheapest filters, so the water tastes NO different than just drinking from the faucet. My gas range has stopped working 4 times. Luckily I am skilled in appliance repair so I was able to fix it myself the last time it happened, and that seemed to do the trick. My washer and dryer are great, aside from not getting much hot water from the washer itself. The machine literally turns off when set to the "hot" setting. Scorpions are definitely a thing here, so beware of that.
They say "pet friendly", but that is about the biggest JOKE there is. There is no designated area for your pets to use the restroom, so the WONDERFUL neighbors like to allow their pitbulls (restricted breed) to piss all over the entryway, stair cases and even your guests CARS. It's happened to two of my friends. and they do NOTHING about it! Absolutely NOTHING. Could you imagine paying $1600 a month in rent, to walk into your building everyday, greeted by the overwhelming smell of dog piss? Especially in these lovely summer months? SO DREAMY!
Oh and lets get back to the neighbors. It will always smell of weed or cigarettes. At all times of the day. There is a lady that walks around the property with a cup of liquor, smoking her cigarettes. I once got into my car and was startled by her sitting in front of it, smoking a cigarette with a glass of something in her hand, bawling her eyes out. I have seen this lady ALMOST daily. Stumbling around drunk. Nothing ever...EVER changes. OH! and her pitbull is very aggressive. It has lunged at me on numerous occasions. Oh and the jock that walks around in his cut off tank with his pit OFF HIS LEASH.
The parking is WORSE than you can read on here. It is the WORST. And they make exceptions for their buddies. They allow their favorites to park in empty covered spaces for no charge because they have an "arrangement".
Please, do not more here. It might be worth it if their rates were a LOT lower. But for what they charge? Its not quality. It's section 8...
Read moreOk this review has me torn to write because I absolutely loved the property and MOST but not all of the neighbors in this community. Sadly though there were many issues with this place. When I first moved here I was 19 years old and it always seemed the office didn’t take me as seriously when I had very important complaints. I lived in unit J2008 and the Neighor above me Constantly blared low frequencies out of there home theater system all hours of the night and day. The most the office did to fix this was send an email out to the entire community and when I pressed them for a resolution because the problem didn’t resolve they actually recommended I call the police on my Neighor’s instead of enforcing there own policy. I had many frustrating nights and days listening to that theater system. Next few issues are the parking here is atrocious if you have more then one car in your household forget paying for a second spot even if you rent a two bedroom not once did they ever get back to me about a second spot. Also I had one of the other tenants register there mail to my mailbox and the office did nothing to resolve this, I also suspect that the person may have done this on purpose so they didn’t have to receive collection letters and all the other junk that was hurled at their name. My garage door motor had to be replaced with a quieter one because the Neighor above the garage was furious about the time I would leave for work. The gate clickers are cheap and if you crack the area it connects to your key chain they’ll blame you for putting “too many keys” on it and tell you to get lost or pay them for a replacement. Last but not least when it was time to leave I apparently was suppose to give them a notice that I was leaving on the day my lease was up and ended staying for an extra month they literally tried sending me a rent bill a hundreds of dollars more then my current rent which is a very shady thing to do and they know that. All in all I’ll miss living there do to the location and beautiful property but I’m happy the headaches are gone especially for the amount you pay for...
