Here's a butter-ly brilliant review for Butters in Scottsdale:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A Spread of Joy in Scottsdale!
If you're scouting for a place where the pancakes stack as high as your expectations for a phenomenal breakfast, then Butters Pancakes & Café in Scottsdale is where your compass should point. Here's the scoop on why this gem is the butter to your bread:
Ambiance: Walking into Butters feels like you've been hugged by a cozy, sunlit kitchen where every day starts with a smile. It's got that charming, homey vibe but with a zesty twist of modern flair. You'd think you've stepped into a foodie's daydream where the scent of coffee and syrup plays the sweetest symphony.
Food: Holy Crepe, where do I start? The menu is a love letter to breakfast enthusiasts. Their pancakes? Fluffier than a cloud in a cartoon. Each bite transports you to a fluffy dimension where calories don't count (we wish, right?). The omelets are not just meals; they're masterpieces, stuffed fuller than a Thanksgiving turkey with ingredients so fresh, they probably whispered "good morning" to the sun.
And let's talk about their signature item – butter. Not just any spread, but a concoction so divine, you'll question every butter you've ever known. Whether it's slathered on their artisan toasts or melting over hotcakes, this isn't just butter; it's Butters!
Service: The staff at Butters must be trained in the ancient art of hospitality because their service is nothing short of legendary. They navigate through the morning rush with the grace of figure skaters, all while maintaining smiles that could melt... well, butter!
Value: For the quality, quantity, and the sheer joy it brings, Butters offers a spread (pun intended) that's worth every penny. You're not just eating; you're investing in happiness.
The Butters Experience: Here's where Butters turns breakfast into an event. It's not just about eating; it's about experiencing. From the moment you're greeted to the last sip of your perfectly brewed coffee, you feel like part of a community, a breakfast club where everyone's welcome.
In conclusion, if life's got you in a bit of a churn, head over to Butters where they whip up not just breakfast, but your mood too. But be warned, after tasting what true breakfast bliss is like, everywhere else might just seem a bit... bland.
Pro Tip: Get there early or be prepared to wait - this place is as popular as buttered popcorn at a blockbuster movie premiere. But hey, good things come to those who wait, and trust me, Butters is worth every second!
There you have it, folks! A review that's spread thick with praise, because Butters in Scottsdale doesn't just serve food; it serves experiences, memories, and let's not forget, the best darn butter on this side of the Milky Way! The best server to ask...

If you’re on the hunt for a solid breakfast spot that delivers both comfort and creativity, Butter Pancakes and Cafe is a name you’ll want to remember. I recently stopped in and sampled a range of dishes—from omelets to grits to pancakes—and came away impressed by both the quality and the care behind the food.
Let’s start with the omelets. I tried two: one loaded with bacon, sausage, ham, onions, and jalapeño cheese, and another classic combo of bacon and cheddar. Both were excellent. Generously portioned and packed with flavor, these omelets didn’t skimp on the fillings or the cheese, and everything was cooked fresh. If you're a fan of savory breakfasts with a little kick, that jalapeño cheese is a standout.
But let’s be honest, “pancakes” is in the name, and they live up to the billing. I sampled two varieties: the Strawberry Chocolate Chip and the Cinnamon Roll. First off, these pancakes are fluffy, golden-brown, and perfectly cooked. No dryness, no burnt bottoms. Just pure, pillowy goodness. The toppings were generous, especially on the cinnamon roll, which was simply delicious, gooey, and addictive. The strawberry chocolate chip version was also excellent, though the pancakes themselves are so good that they honestly don’t need much dressing up. Fresh, flavorful, and satisfying on their own.
The grits were creamy and smooth—different from the more traditional, coarse style some may expect. If you’re a fan of Southern-style creamy grits, you’ll likely enjoy them. But if you’re looking for that old-school, gritty bite, just know what you’re getting into.
As for beverages, the cafe offers a decent selection, though I’d love to see a broader variety of soft drinks. A few more options there could elevate the experience even further.
Bottom line: Butter Pancakes and Cafe serves hearty, satisfying breakfast fare with fresh ingredients and generous portions. Whether you're craving a savory omelet or a sugar-dusted pancake fantasy, there’s something here for everyone. Worth the visit—and...
Read moreYes, it’s popular and busy and there can be a wait, but it’s worth the wait. Plus I’m in love with how they handle the Yelp waitlist, it’s helpful and informative (you get both a text and phone call (201 area code maybe?)) when your table’s ready.
Service was OUTSTANDING. We said we were okay with the patio and when we were seated, it was in a corner and a little breezy and we asked to move and they were VERY accommodating. As busy as this place is, I wasn’t that hopeful we’d be able to move so that was a nice touch in and of itself. But our server, Morgan, was just great. She was over the top helpful and completely on top of her game. She was attentive to every little detail (for example, asked on my iced coffee if I wanted the creamer on the side (yes thank you), do you want hot sauce, and on to-go boxes how many we’d need), and even got me a plastic cup for a bonus to-go iced coffee! Handled the payment right in the middle of the dining experience (smoothly, I might add). Very pleasant personality, just great. But all the staff were accommodating and helpful!
Food was delicious, portion sizes are really big, too, so it’s a great value. Hollandaise is delicious on the Benedict dishes, and you can even get it as a side - for a very reasonable up-charge in my opinion, and I often take issue with some restaurants’ up-charges on certain things, so when I say it’s reasonable, it really is). Link sausage was delicious, not too spicy, great texture. Eggs over easy were perfectly over easy. AND the gluten-free bread for toast (my wife has a gluten allergy) is the best GF bread I’ve ever tasted (I taste it myself sometimes and most GF breads don’t taste like gluten breads but this one I couldn’t even tell it was GF). Hash browns are really good too, they don’t over-spice them, but they’re thinly sliced, crispy on the edges, and taste great.
Couldn’t be happier and...
