Phoenix Skin Medical Surgical Group — Local services in Scottsdale

This location gives the impression that it's a mini mall of different types of stores clustered together. Actually I would say it's all medical specialty offices clustered together with a insurance company here and there to break up the monotony. There appeared to be plenty of free parking, all with handicapped accessibility. I have been to Phoenix Skin at their Phoenix location, but this is my first visit to their Scottsdale Office. The 3 girls handling the check- in duties were all very friendly and actually looked to be enjoying their jobs (not always the case in medical offices). My previous doctor, Dr.Ha, had left the practice so Michael Richards was to be my new doctor. After our brief introduction he went about his business of examining me. He is funny and entertaining as a doctor could be. Quite the sense of humor and I left with a smile on my face.(Partly because there was nothing wrong with me and partly because of the bag of goodies the doctor made sure I was able to bring home). Only complaint would be that like most other Medical offices they want you to fill out all kinds of paperwork ahead of time on the computer so you don't have to do it in the office. I had done it twice at home and still had to do it in the waiting area again because it didn't go thru. I would give Phoenix Skin a great recommendation as far as my personal experiences go....

Incredible service this morning. I had an 8:00am appointment for exam and biopsy of a concerning-looking spot on my skin, that I just discovered over the weekend. I called on Monday and they were able to get me in next day, Tuesday. Everything went so smoothly and with no wait, that I was finished and back in my vehicle at 8:25am. Wow. I really appreciated how friendly and helpful everyone was, because when you have a troubling spot on your skin and a history of abnormal cells, you want to be seen as fast as possible, professionally and by people who care. Check, check and check. Great bonus was that they also have very reasonable prices for this kind of care for self-pay patients. Highly recommend if you need similar care. I have been a patient here for over 10 years! I decided since they do Botox I would come here instead of the med spa I had been going to. I thought surely that I would get better results and care from a dermatologist office. I was wrong! In November 2021 I got droopy eye when Michelle administered my Botox. Returned to have it fixed with Ramona February 2nd. I woke up this morning with a black eye!! I was also told I wouldn’t be charged for the “fix” and was charged $275. If these ladies were trained by Dr. Laris he needs to retrain them! The droopy eye was caused by injecting in my eyebrow and the black eye was caused from hitting a blood vessel! I will continue to see Dr. Richards for my annual skin checks but will never have Botox...
