Don’t bother going here, just drive to Katy. It’s now an urgent care clinic which is fine, but I needed an X-ray. It was a little after 7, well before they close at 9, but they had no technician. Not a huge deal, just annoyed I couldn’t get it done at one time. Asked me to come the next morning, but told them I didn’t want to take a day off of work and if it was ok would come around the same time the next day. No problem they said. Well, I just walked out and without getting an X-ray because there is no technician.
Update: Third time was a charm to get an x-ray the following day. Doctor originally told me I had plantar fasciitis (had that before, I disagreed with her). A week had gone by almost and with no call from the doctor about the xrays I called. They told me they had called my work, no idea why. Was told the radiologist said that I had a bone spur on my heel.
Went to a podiatrist, and the first thing he says is “well you don’t have a heel spur, so let’s see what is really wrong”. Turns out it was a partially torn tendon. I wouldn’t expect them to diagnose this but they were wrong on every account, and balked at me when I disagreed with them it was plantar fasciitis....
Read moreAvoid this place! I was literally the 3rd person to sign in when they opened, and I still had to wait an hour and a half before they called me into a room. I went in for cough, congestion, headache, and sore throat. The Dr. listened to my lungs and nothing else. He didn't look at my throat, didn't check my ears, or my lymph nodes like a normal doctor would. All in all, the doctor was in the room a complete 2 minutes. They ended up testing me for COVID and nothing else. Not strep or flu.
It has now been 25 hours since I was seen, and the staff still has not sent my prescriptions to the pharmacy. I called twice yesterday, and it still was not sent. So, I went there this morning to get a written prescription, as suggested by the pharmacy. All I was given was excuses, and that they don't write physical prescriptions. And, to top it off, I tried calling and they have now turned off the phones. The message says they are closed, @10am on a Tuesday morning! This place does not know how to function as a business, much less a medical office. Even with the limited medical facility options in Sealy, I will not be returning...
Read moreAfter a grueling week of working to fix up a 1965 house in Houston living off caffeine and restaurant food, I was on my way home to Austin when I started to palpitate in the Sealy area, I stopped to grab a bite, but I was not able to get my racing heart to snap out of it. After 30 minutes sitting with my trembling hands and almost passing out a few times at a nearby restaurant, I decided to take the slow dreaded route to the nearest ER. .... As soon as I entered - My experience at Sealy ER was the best one I've had! The staff were all amazingly great. They made a through examination (the whole enchilada!). Made me feel like a part of the unit. Stayed there from 1:30 to 6:30 on a Friday afternoon (No happy hour for me). HATS off to: Joseph Jacinthe and his staff! The nurse was sweet! (J. Caraker) and her small portable heater - and despite him being a Cowboys fan. He knew what he was doing sucking blood from a die hard Packers fan! (J Villanueva). To all of you who helped me out yesterday... I am back safely in Austin and resting up. Hey Dr. J! I promise I'll lay off the Red Bull! THANK YOU...
