Four Echoes at Grist Mill Pond — Local services in Seekonk

I have been going to Four Echos / Vinnie’s for years and have left a lot of money there. I like that there a non profit. Four Echos really cleaned it up too! But today I had a very disappointing experience. I purchased a side by side desk/curio cabinet. It was an imitation Larkin Desk. They REALLY wanted me to take it even though I wanted to come back early next week with a bigger vehicle. They said it was the Vendors preference. They measured it and deemed it would fit, so I said ok. Two men loaded it into my vehicle. I never touched it. I got in my car, hadn’t even started it and the desk slipped and the crowns on both pieces broke off! I was heartbroken. I left my vehicle where it was and went back inside and told them what happened. The girls at the counter did not respond to me! I didn’t load it, they did! Very disappointed in their attitude. I don’t know what could have been done but ignoring me wasn’t the answer. I will probably continue shopping there, but I will never have them load furniture and I won’t be pressured into taking something that doesn’t fit comfortably in my vehicle. Now I have to spend more money to have it repaired that wasn’t in the budget. If Four Echos stepped up and offered to pay for at least half the repair cost I would be good with that. All of the stuff they sell is very similar between booths n severely over priced. They had a wall shelf that is sold at 5 below for 5.55 on their shelf for more than twice that lol 😆 their Cafe is a joke. Over priced regular coffee and pastry. I stood in line for almost 10 min n the guy working there walked past me 2x n never helped me. The girls at the front desk can't be bothered just sitting up there playing on their cell phones. Smh. Will not be back.

Wow! This antique shop is amazing. My mom and I went there in the middle of July 2023. Must be under new management because it has gone through some improvements. Mom and I have been there before and we liked it, but it's much better now. The basement steps have been narrowed and railings added, both mom and myself appreciate that. When we decided to go we were a little apprehensive about the stairs. We walked through the entire antique shop, upstairs and down. Then we visited the ice cream shop.
