My family had our suburban break down in Seguin on a trip from Houston to New Braunfels at the end of October. We had the suburban towed to Seguin Chevrolet Service Center. After a couple of weeks, we were told that we needed a new engine and were given a price of just under $10k. We approved the job and were told it would be completed in 4 weeks. However, it was not completed until December 15th, and it ended up costing $12k. My husband had to ask a family member to drive him from Houston to Seguin to pick up the vehicle. After 10 miles on his return to Houston, the check engine light came on so he drove back to Seguin Chevrolet. They checked it, fixed something, and said he was good to go. This time he went 2 hours when the check engine light came back on. He called again, and they said to just drive the rest of the way to Houston and take it to a Chevrolet Dealership in Houston and let them know what they find. The next day we took it to a Chevy dealership near our house. Then we spent the next MONTH calling Seguin Chevrolet to talk to Parkway Chevrolet to determine what Seguin would pay for. Finally, on January 15th Seguin told us that we had to drive the suburban back to them because they would not pay for Parkway to properly diagnose the issue. On January 16th we borrowed a car and drove the suburban back to Seguin. Gary was in a meeting so after waiting for 45 minutes to talk to him, we asked for him to call us as we drove back to Houston. He did not call. No one called. After calling daily for almost a week, we just now (January 22nd) were able to hear back about what the plan is to just begin to understand what is wrong and how to fix our only vehicle. They have not provided a loaner or rental and are horrible with communication. I have driven suburbans for the last 25 years, and I have never had such awful customer service and poor...
ย ย ย Read moreSeguin Chevrolet didn't have the Blazer EV I wanted, only one dealer in central Texas had the specific package I was looking for. So I purchased from a different dealer (what a horrible experience{Don't buy from Automation Dealers}). Thankfully, Seguin didn't hesitate in getting it checked in to have updates installed, which should have been done before I even took the Blazer home.
These EVs have numerous updates for everything, to the point that Chevy has advised a full system update whenever the vehicle is brought in for servic. I specifically had issues with the infotainment screen and scheduled a Vehicle Wide program update for New Years Eve. Dropped off and met with Gracie who was outstanding getting everything checked in and sending me on the way. I was contacted later that day letting me know it was updated and ready to go.
When I picked it up, unfortunately the radio was still out of date. Gracie went and grabbed the Shop Foreman, Tyler. He explained that the update performed literally does every module except the radio. He said bring it back and they would get it squeezed in the same day I drop it off.
Gracie told me to come back the next day they were open, day after New Years, got me checked in, and had a porter drop me off at an errand immediately. Hour later, porter took me back to the dealer where they were still working on the update. Gracie brought over the information for the update which had 10+ pages of fixes explaining what was taking so long.
Long story short... Gracie kept me in the loop the entire time and was Amazing! Tyler was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything perfectly. Grealty appreciate everything y'all did to get my...
ย ย ย Read moreFirst time visit, so still formulating an opinion. The place is busy, too busy for walk-in, or drive-in, business. Staff was friendly and helpful and we scheduled a service appointment for Friday. We dropped the car off on Friday as scheduled, and there was no problem leaving the car. We were in and out quickly, assured that they had our requests from our first visit, when we were put off for not having an appointment,.which were an oil and filter change, and for them to check the 4-wheel disk brakes which making a grinding noise when applied. They were good about notifying us when the car was ready and we went pay the invoice and pick up the car.
The invoice total was $91.00 for four quarts of oil and the filter, which seemed rather high to me, but I figured it included the labor to check the brake system. When I asked what they had found out about that, I got a blank stare -- there was nothing on the work order, nor on the invoice, about the brakes.
I do understand that customer service is no longer considered an important component of doing business these days, and oversights can easily be made. Still, it is unfortunate that our first experience with this Service Department was less than pleasant, and it would be unfair to sever any chance of our return business over this. I will, however, be researching to find out if $91.00 is the current norm for an oil and filter change...
