The Green Gate Garden Center — Local services in Seguin

Unfortunately I have to update my positive original review after being unable to purchase trees at the Green Gate. The place is still very pretty and the plant variety is great, but customer service is lacking.

My husband and I came today to purchase a tree. We asked about paid delivery - not available. We asked about purchasing the tree today and coming back with a larger vehicle to pick it up as soon as possible - not possible.

What IS possible, exactly? Apparently they rely on a first come, first serve basis and they won't hold anything aside for their paying customers, not even for a few hours, not even for a fee.

This is upsetting as large trees can only be carried in a pickup truck, impossible to fit in a sedan, small SUV or hatchback. It's also very upsetting to be turned down and told flat out that the business does not care to service and help out customers such as yourself. I was personally told that "those trees will sell fast anyway." Indeed, why serve me when someone else who owns a truck might swing by later this week? Apparently our money is no good here.

Since our business is not wanted, we'll be shopping elsewhere for our future plant needs, sadly....

If you have not made your way out to see the wonders at Green Gate, YOU. ARE. MISSING. OUT!!! This garden center has something for everyone!

I would give them 10 stars if I could. The staff, the plants and the overall experience are always incredible and I look forward to my trips out to see them, more than any other nursery in Central TX! Wait until you see the massive greenhouse, it’s what dreams are made of! Thank you so much Green Gate for helping me make my plant dreams come true! Y’all are truly amazing and simply badass!

I recommend making a visit to see them, I promise they will have everything you need.... and so much more! 10 shiny stunning...

I’m from out of town and have always had this place on my list to come but today we did and WOW. I’m so upset we didn’t make it in sooner! The staff is SO kind and knowledgeable. I’m more of an indoor houseplant/veggie gardener. I don’t have any knowledge on annuals/perennials etc etc but they have signs and staff around with information to share. The pricing for natives or pollinator plants is INSANE. Such steals varying from 6.95-8.95 for most. Our favorite is the variety of soil amendments, soils, and fertilizers they have in a big room with a variety of pots as well.

The green house has indoor plants galore and even cacti! They also outdoors have veggie garden starters and even some fruit trees up front

If you love plants and great deals THIS is the place for you.
