We attended the Skylight Balloon Fest for the first time yesterday! It was $80 for 4 adults and 2 kids for the entrance fee, and although that's pretty high, there was a lot to do! There were over 200 vendors and food trucks to walk through and see! They have a kids area with bounce castles, hayrides and a unique petting zoo, but these are all an additional cost per person. They also have other activities including inflatable bumper balls, air soft, VR paramotor flying, and more, all at additional costs. They do offer tethered hot air balloon rides for $20 each person, but unfortunately the winds were too strong on the evening we went, and the balloons weren't able to be inflated at all. The festival also has a great live band, acrobatic shows, and skydivers who land at the park. Overall it was a fun experience, although pricey! I suggest coming early because it does get crowded with coming into park your car, and long lines at the food vendors.

What a fantastic event to end Sept 2023. I believe the organizers are trying to nail down a weather window to set the dates and promote this thing. The morning was amazing and definitely worth the early wake up. I saw a lot of photographers like me out there plus families and even a truck driver from NH. They have a bunch of vendors, the morning landing was free so that is five stars right there. They opened up again at 2pm and had a lot of vendors and food and entertainment all for $15. You can’t beat that price so five stars again. They could not do the evening light up due to high winds so that gives me something to look forward to next year. Well done organizers, you did good 👍👍. Definitely keep this on your todo list. I’d look to see this thing get bigger so ABQ doesn’t hog all the fun. SpiderPig reference there.

I was here to WORK as a volunteer. Hot day late in a south Texas September. Avery the Rodeo Clown working with the SASSR Ambassadors. Lots of vendors working to generate leads and business. Event could do better to organize vendors for optimal results for them and ease of locating specific services. Skydiving, Hot Air Balloons, music (the SPASMADICS TEXAS) was fun and entertaining, and demonstrations by the Lonestar Aero powered chute Pilots. Fun and entertainment for all.

A waste of time and money. The whole point of this festival is to see balloons float up in the air. We planned our whole afternoon and the balloons never got up in the air. They said the winds were too strong. This was a few years ago and I see that happened again this year. Why even bother? It's just a money grab for vendors to charge you a lot of money for food when there's hardly any places to sit and eat because there's so many people. Why keep having a balloon fest when you can never get the balloons in the air? Take a note from Albuquerque New Mexico. This...
