Update: This location has become a disaster shopping experience. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! It's not worth the raised blood pressure and being made to feel ignorant and that you don't belong in the store by the company representatives working at this store.
I recently shopped for a few items because I had a coupon. MARY at the register was very rude to both my partner and I. There was a long line, as is the norm here, and I was next. She was cleaning behind her station and did not turn on her register light, OR verbally say that she was open--she appeared to be closing down for a break. Then she just stood there staring in the opposite direction of the line. No light on, not speaking, not looking at the customers. The customers behind us asked if she was open. I tried to ask her, but she did not respond. Other cashiers looked at us, confused, THEY did not say or do anything, and MARY did not respond. The customer behind us asked her again and she did not move from staring at the other side of the store. We waited. No registers were opening for several minutes, so I walked up to MARY (light turned off) and I put my things down. I asked politely if she's open and she did not look at me, did not say anything to me, and rang up my things. A few seconds later she made a frustrated sigh, turned around to look at the line and said "Oh, God!"... I told her about my coupon on my phone and said I have a coupon pulled up on my phone and Kohl's cash in my Kohl's app. MARY very rudely rolled her eyes at us and said "You don't just GET a discount! You have to have an email with something I can scan." I told her that it's in my Kohl's app wallet and yes, she can scan my barcode. She argued with me that it HAS to be in an email or she can't take it. I know that's not the case, as I shop at Kohl's very regularly. I showed her the barcode and she refused to take my Kohl's cash or coupon. She had a bad attitude in her voice and she clearly did not want to be at this job. We felt very uncomfortable. She was trying to avoid ringing up customers! She finally scanned my coupon and it worked perfectly fine.
On another visit: BRANDON in customer service is incredible mean, rude, disrespectful, inexperienced, and should NOT be in a customer-facing position. I brought in a return from an online purchase with my original receipt AND the shipping slip. He said he could not return it because it's the incorrect item. I showed BRANDON that the serial numbers match. I showed him the PICTURES in the Kohl's receipt of the exact item we were holding. He accused me of trying to return a gift and trying to get money from Kohl's for someone else's purchase!!! The photos, actual item, barcodes, dates, serial numbers, shipping IDs, addresses, my Kohl's card, EVERYTHING matched perfectly! His response to his NOT KNOWING HOW to process a return was to accuse the customer of theft! I asked if a manager could assist with the return. His response was that a manager can't return an item that's probably a gift and not from the receipt either. BRANDON REFUSED to get a manager to process my simple return on a simple VERY small order that was delivered the day before. Brandon then told me that I was holding up the line! Absolutely unbelievably HORRIBLE disrespect! I have been a Kohl's MVC member for over 20 years, spending thousands of dollars each year at Kohl's. I promise you 100% I will NEVER EVER support this disgusting, mismanaged company that PROMOTES disrespectful behavior from their employees. Kohl's encourages their company representatives to accuse a very regular paying customers with MORE than enough proper receipts, shipping slips, item, tags intact, barcodes, Kohl's card, and bringing in return the day after delivery--of theft instead of asking for help to process a simple single item return. How do I know this? Because BRANDON is still there, as I have taken several Amazon returns here since it is the closest Amazon returns drop off location to my home & the Amazon counter is right next to customer service. KOHL'S. IS....
Read moreI had an Amazon return that had to be taken to Kohl's or Whole Foods. What a pleasant surprise when I entered Kohl's as I've not been there forever. Light and bright, merchandise tastefully displayed and nice wide aisles. Of course I stayed to shop (kind of the idea, right?)

My guy found a great jacket, we checked out a vacuum I thought I wanted (too heavy) and then stopped in Sephora. It's a satellite store so it doesntt have a lot of variety. I did find a new color eyeliner (for me) in the brand that I like (less than the competitor). Unfortunately, the shade I tried and loved on my hand didn't work for me. I stopped back a couple of weeks later and found a color that was fantastic (60 day is their return policy). There was a 50% sale on selected prestige brands that day.
Checkout in Kohl's. The line was huge (black Friday) but it seemed to be going fast. An employee pointed out self-checkout - awesome. Five minutes, and we were walking to the car.
We will be going there again soon. Great point program, BTW. it didn't have a lot of variety. I did find a new color eyeliner (for me) in the brand that I like (less than the competitor). Read moreCredit Card Approval and Discount Scheme for Canadians. Was at this store this past week and purchased about $150 worth of on sale gifts. When cashing out, the well meaning cashier advised me that if I opened a Kohl’s Credit Account I could get a 40% Discount. Naturally, I said yes and did the data input info on her terminal for about 5 to 7 minutes while other customers waited in a short line. Needless to say, almost all Canadians who try this method are rejected like I was. Then the cashier advised that their credit card division will be in contact with me to advise why the application was rejected. I asked how they would advise me and she said by mail to my Canadian address. Needless to say I won’t be home until April. Regardless, I did not get my 40% Discount BUT, Kohl’s Credit Dept obtained much of my basic credit info for their future marketing endeavours. This is an insult and a total waste my time (and all others in future) with this type of Gimmick to get you to obtain a Kohl’s Credit Card and Discount yet knowing almost all Canadians will be rejected (as per all I have spoken to after this incident) and then marketed to after the rejection. Good riddance to a Kohl’s Credit Card (my wife has one from last year after all the same ordeal). I’ll never want one and I’ll wait for my April mail to see what they say. By the way I do have an excellent credit rating and No Debts so I am anxious to see their excuse for their immediate on line rejection. Good luck to other Canadians who do add somewhat to the Florida economy and to Kohl’s bottom lines Annually from our Snowbird Stays in this warmer weather and beautiful State. Thanks for reading my irritating rant....
